Hello friends. I want to tell you about the format of the Argentine league.

28 teams participate. There are 27 days of dispute, a single round. The first one comes out champion.
From position 1 to 5 enter the Copa Libertadores de America (It would be equal to the European Cup of Champions)
From position 6 to 11 enter the Copa Sudamerica (Equal to the Europa League)
The system of Descendants is rare and controversial. Since they do not descend the last ones of the table of positions. Those that descend are the last 4 in the table of averages (the points obtained in the last three seasons are added and divided by the number of games played)
For now, 19 games were played. The table of posts to date March 13, 2018.

I watch the occasional match of Argentine league football when it is available via stream on kodi. But tbh I never understood the League System (the same can be said of Brazilian League Football). Maybe if I would inform myself better it would be more understandable for me, but as I wrote I only watch a few matches in a season (mainly Boca Juniors or River Plate because they are the most known here in Germany. Argentina is so far away for us, so that my main interests are of course the European Leagues and the European Competitions.
We only see ourselves in World Cup Finals )

28 teams in a League? Wow that would be 54 league matches in a season?

The Relegation system is unusual for us Europeans. Would my HSV have a chance with it if we had the same in the Bundesliga? Points of the last 3 season divided by games played?.hm,nah, wouldn't be any better for us with this system

edit: Wait: 28 teams but "one round" of 27 matches? Does that mean you don't play each other 2-times in a season like it is in Europe?

Always found this system unbelievably complicated and so "unsouthamerican" if that makes any sense. Why was it implemented? You really should go back to basics like, well, the rest of the world.
I'd like to visit Argentina in the near future and get a couple of games in. Wouldn't mind attending the derby but I'd like to visit both Boca and River.

If friend lamentably the format of the Argentine league is not at all good. Until 2014, 20 teams were played and divided into the Apertura Tournament (19 Matches at the beginning of the year) and the Clausura Tournament (19 matches at the end of the year).
I think that the idea of the new president of AFA (Asociación de Futbol Argentino) is to return to the 20 teams and finish with this obsolete system of declines.

now there is only a tournament with 27 games and no more 2 with 38 total?

can you give an example of how retrocessions are?
