Well, 3 points up and 2 goals scored, we move onto Mansfield at home. We time wasted a fair amount last night, with McCormick and Sawyer both getting yellows. In a way, it's nice to see. In the past Argyle sides have been to nice and naive, not this time around it seems.

Goodwillie didn't feature last night which was surprising, not even as a sub. Mr Adams is hoping for a winger or 2 on loan, which is great because we are crying out for some. I don't know much about Mansfield this season, and im not really sure what to expect from them. Back to back wins would be excellent considering how poor our start was, but I think this will be a draw. 1-1.

On the basis of no new wingers:

McCormick
Miller RB
Bulvitis CB
Bradley CB
Sawyer LB
Songo'o CDM
Smith CM
Threlkeld CM
Carey CAM
Spencer ST
Jervis ST

4-1-2-1-2 - No changes. However if we sign a winger on loan, we may see a change in formation.

I think we'll win this one. Plymouth looks like struggling this year. But i'd take a point away from home.

Also not sure how we'll cope with only one striker up front.

I'd be delighted with a point in honesty, a win would be fanstastic.

We're on to 7 points from 9 which is a great start, and Plymouth seem to currently have a bit of a hangover from last season, so maybe this could he a chance to get something from a ground we have a poor record at - Plymouth is almost one of those games I write off as a loss and anything else is a bonus.

Looks like we might be starting 451 unless he plays Hurst with Green upfront, but I can't see this happening really.

2-1 Argyle with the same team starting as last night. Rose will be a big miss for the Stags and hopefully Bulvitis murders Green in the first 10 minutes.

Murder Green all you like. With Big D in and around the squad, I don't fear anyone in this league.

Point would be sufficient here, but seeing as I've never know us to beat Plymouth at Home Park, we'll lose 2-0.

We've had a good start but Plymouth is a difficult place to go to, I'd take 2 or 3 points from our next 2 games now... Orient and Plymouth away!

Plymouth certainly won't roll us over but I'll guess at a 1-0 home win.

Adam Murray's team talk:
"Don't nip for a piss, anywhere, that someone wearing green points you towards."

Graham Carey, Jimmy Spencer and Karleigh Osbourne all unlikely to feature through injury :(

That's a bonus Carey being out. He took the piss on his own last season. I'm feeling confident but as Stoney said I'd take 2/3 points from 2 tough away games in Plymouth and Lorient.

It's been a disappointing start to the season but we're not to be written off just yet. In football you nearly always find those with the biggest budget near the top of the pile. I know that it isn't an exact science, but there's a correlation between budget and success and given we've one of the largest budgets in the league I still expect us to do relatively well this season.

So, with that being said, I'm going with a 2 - 1 home win today. The conditions are awful and expected to get worse. Carey is one of the best players in the league, so we'll no doubt miss him, but I'm confident with Tanner back on loan we'll do alright.

2-0 Argyle currently.

I think I will carry on being a pessimist all season, as its currently working. Carey cleared fit to play and scored both goals

81% possession. What's happening Mansfield, you're falling apart

Another win, a clean sheet and 2 good goals from Carey. We aren't as bad as I thought, this time last week.

Standard shit performance at Plymouth. They must think we're constantly shit

May as well not bother going.

Can't we fuck them off to France or something.

Set piece defending is becoming a massive worry for us now. 4 games in and we've conceded about 4 from set pieces.

I think you're being harsh on yourself lads.

The first half was the Graham Carey show and he was unplayable. His first goal was extremely lucky. The free kick certainly wasn't a shot and whilst the keeper perhaps could have done better you see those crosses that find the far post happen from time to time. His second was a great solo effort but that aside you weren't particularly out classed or out played. In fact, I'm not sure we even had a shot in the second half.

But the problem being is that the same problems are rearing its head at last season, were struggling from crosses/set pieces - which we did towards the end of last season, and also when we're 2 down or something our manager is far too defensive and doesn't know how to play an adventurous expansive game

It was the same as last season. Green up top on his own running the channels with no help whatsoever. I may have been abit harsh last night but we all said last season how Green up top on his own does not work. Murray even said that and he does it again today.

Taking a central midfielder off for a centre back with 10 to go said to me he's learnt nothing. So fucking negative. Carey was awesome first half, But we never went there to get 3 points.

Oh well, Let's see what Saturday brings.

I must admit, it is becoming a bit confusing as to how it is possible the same team that turns up at Home Park most years are a very comfortable top half side. How do you lot play at Exeter? Maybe there's something in our fresh countryside Devon air. Either that or you really don't like travelling this far.

Think we had to play green up top on his own saturday... How do fans not realise that Henderson can't play 90 minutes, Hoban is injured and rose is banned...?? Our fans would still moan if we put a winger up front with green so Murray can't win.

We did alright in the second half but I feel the game was already done. Better team on the day won simple as that. Wasn't wxpecting much from Plymouth and orient away.

Feel we need to win at orient to show a difference from last season, we only beat one top half side last season.

He must've learnt last season it didn't work. He is on record when we signed that lad from Chesterfied as admitting that Greeny up top on his own is no good. So why go back to it? He could of played Hamilton if Hoban is still not ready. Like he gives two fucks what the fans think as he's already played him there twice this season.

It's alright but the game was over after 24 minutes and we still created fuck all bar some chances in the second. Our best spell was in the 93rd minute.

Agree we have to do better at Orient and get a result. My biggest concern this season is defending set pieces. Move Collins back infront of the back 4, Bring Taft back in and drop one of Chapman or Clements.

He won't though. Chapman had a good game Tuesday so it was understandable he started.

Am beginning to wonder if the Clements we all think/thought might develop ever will?
