Couldn't catch the game but I heard Arsenal parked the bus. Nonetheless good win for Arsenal to raise some hopes and then come crashing down.

We didnt park the bus, we left two strikers up front, we just couldn't get the ball off of them because of their quality. They were playing for the draw.

Loved that from Bellerin at the end. He'll be back in Barcelona in no time if he keeps that up.

Arsenal deserved it. Bayern are good but no way would they dominate the PL like they do the Bundesliga. 9 wins out of 9 is ridiculous.

Arsenal are the only club in the world to have defeated Guardiola's Barca & Bayern in the Champions League.

How wrong was Hargreaves about us not pressing by the way? Pep would have loved us to do that, his teams thrive on pulling the opposition out of position and exploiting the space left behind. Our defensive structure was fantastic today and limited a ridiculously talented attacking side to relatively few chances.

Hargreaves was mind-numbing, I've decided that he's actually even worse than Michael Owen. Spent most of the game wittering on and wanking over Douglas Costa, making out as though he is Messi reincarnated. Let's be honest, he actually produced the square root of fuck all with his final ball despite getting himself into good positions all game. I think Hargreaves is still somewhere praising Neuer for his stunning and amazing 'non-save' at the end. Of course he said nothing about his usual brainfart moment where he's gifted a goal to the opposition purely because he wants to be involved all the time. He's always been a keeper capable of great saves and great buffoonery in equal measure.

Good but it's not quite beating Munich in Munich to win the Champions league. Enjoy Ruben Kazan.

He also said Giroud's goal was put in with his hand until it showed the replay.

Chelsea also happen to be 3rd in their group, mate.

It's funny how Liverpool fans give my mate JohnnyTodd such a rough go for his predictability.
Congratulations you won a game against a big name. Pity when it comes to the knockout round you can't though ;)

"We really deserved to win. For 90 minutes we worked hard defensively, which isn't exactly typical of us," Mertesacker said.

Didn't you lose to Ruben Kazan last time you played them?

I know the answer, which is yes...they beat you 3-2.

Great performance. Relied on Cech once or twice, but Bayern relied on Neuer once or twice as well. Knew they weren't unbeatable but we looked a lot more assured and confident than we once did in big games. Hector Bellerin's energy in the 94th minute :eye:

Only downside was Ramsey's hamstring injury.

we do look a little thin now.... Wilshere, Rosicky, Welbeck, Ramsey all injured, Sanchez in the red zone.

We're one player away from having an injury crisis, if either one of Ox, Theo or Alexis get injured then we'll be in trouble.

I think for now we'll go forward with Ox on the right wing, time for him to really step up. And if that needs a change, Theo back on the wing with Giroud up front. Might be worth recalling Chuba in January.

Giroud has scored more goals this season as a sub than Costa, Martial, Rooney, Hazard, Benteke, Falcao and Kane.

As for the group, if everything else goes as expected (we and Olympiakos lose in Munich, and both teams beat Zagreb at home) then we'll have to go to Greece and win by two (or a single goal victory scoring more than three, depending on our/Olympiakos's goal difference by then). Still a lot to do. Hopefully we can pick up a point in Munich.

You and I both know we'll go through in second place.

We beat them on aggregate, I think.....on the way to our second consecutive major European trophy. Say something.

Arsenal more and more adopting a results first mentality. Good that Wenger is finally seeing some sense is playing dirty every now and again.
