Football's (almost) back! Thank fuck.

We've strengthened quite sensibly over the summer I feel, and Hull have lost half of their squad, though they did that last season and still started well, so that means bugger all to them it seems.

Regardless of that, considering our ambitions this season, we should be winning this game, even with the injuries we start the season with.

We should line up like so:
Johnstone
Hutton Chester Terry Taylor
Whelan Hourihane
Elmo Thor Green
Hogan

If not Thor, then swap him for Gabby and go 4-4-2.

My prediction... I hate being optimistic, it never ends well..... Villa 2-0 'Ull.

If Elmo-Thor-Green-Hogan isn't part of the Marvel universe, he sure as shit should be!

Aston Villa: Johnstone; Hutton, Terry (c), Chester, Taylor, Whelan, Lansbury, Elmohamady, Bacuna, Agbonlahor, Hogan.

Hull City: McGregor; Aina, Clark, Dawson (c), Hector, Henriksen, Clucas, Bowen, Grosiki, Campbell, Hernandez.

4-5-1, Elmo and Gabby as wingers it looks like. Either that, or 4-4-2 with Bacuna and Elmo on wings.

I really don't want to curse it, but we're looking a decent side so far.

So how was the game. Good result on paper for Hull.

First half we were pretty poor. Second half we weren't. Deserved a point. I'd be interested to see that elbow on Henriksen again. Looked a bad one from where I was sat.

Oh, and if you wouldn't mind not calling us Hull City Tigers, that'd be grand.

We should have had the game won by the break, should have had 2-3 goals minimum. We never got started second half and Hull deserved their equaliser, though Green missed one of the easiest chances I've seen a footballer miss to potentially win us the game.
