Can we make it 3 from 3? I fancy us to Nick this 1 0. Confidence is high. However I would be delighted with a point against a side looking to get back to league winning ways after the defeat at chesterfield.
No zeli for us which is a blow - but then we didn't need him at Bolton last night.
I'm sticking my neck out at 1 0 Brewers with 732 traveling up.

Well, I've a feeling we won't dick you 5-0 like last season that's for sure. We were terrible after about the first 15 minutes at Chesterfield but looked a lot better at Scunthorpe, although we're still not taking our chances. You lot should be confident after a good start to the season and I'd be very happy to get 3 points any way possible here. Are you travelling up?

I am yes mate. Hoping for a decent following as your away end is decent. I remember the 5 0 - rowett had just gone and we where shocking that day, fair play you absolutely picked us apart. On your day you look a top six side. And I'm sure this season we will see the same.
I'm up there tomorrow actually - at tankersley..shame I can't stretch it out till sat on the company's expenses...

Good to hear, if you're up here on the ale then I can recommend the Old No. 7, The Joseph Brammah (town centre) and the Dove Inn (Doncaster Road), though the bar at the Metrodome (big leisure centre) is pretty much exclusively used by away fans and is literally 2 minutes walk from the away end. We'll have a slightly different team (and manager) lining up this time compared to last, a better one I would say, but they've yet to prove that on the pitch and Saturday would be a good time to do it.

Up at Tankersley Manor by any chance? Nice place, I believe Chelsea's squad stayed there when we beat them in the cup in 08. Not much else there other than a McDonalds and a Taybarns so unless you're travelling all that way to visit one of them . . .

Not a great game that but I'd have taken a 1-0 win before kick off. Not sure about the peno, seemed Scowen was caught twice and the ref gave it for the second one, couldn't see for sure down the other end though. Thought you looked a decent side and might have had a point if not for some poor finishing, especially Duffy (I think) when he curled over after having all the time in the world to pick his spot. We were fairly solid defensively but lacking in creativity till Crowley and Hourihane came on. Your fans made some decent noise as well, if a little low on numbers.
Think you'll do alright this season if you take your chances in games, hope you enjoyed your day despite the result.

Very fair assessment. Thought you looked good at times and I predict you to be up there.
Penalty? God knows would have to see again.
Our finishing this season will prevent us from pushing the play offs. We should be ok though as defence decent.

Thought Burton were much the better team for the most part. Three points though is all that matters.

Agree, they looked very organised defensively and some poor finishing let them down. That creativity/drive we lacked will come when Williams is fully fit and we've got another winger in, but yeah I don't think we'd have scored from open play in a month of Sundays. I'm not suggesting we'll be up there this season (2 games is no indicator yet), but those are the sorts of wins teams who do well will grind out.
Penalty correct decision for me having viewed it back, first time gets caught, second time would've been debatable on it's own but think the referee had the incident a second before on his mind.
