You were probably an adult when they started on telly though mate. I was about 10 when they went on the Beeb and even then I remember them being ok but not hilarious. However, for all their cheap gags, I think a lot of people who have passingly watched them, like the harmless good-natured fun they showed, and the world needs more of that.

I thought Barry was a lot older than 73 though, he looked near 80. Must've been ill for a while.

Anyway, RIP Barry Chuckle.

They were doing some You Be Framed type programme on Channel 5 so the illness must have been sudden or was hiding it well?

Yeah I watched that the other week when there was nothing else on. They did a kind of special commemoration one last night for him.

Met him at Stoneacre in Doncaster when he was buying a new car last year. Looked very unimpressed when the guy handed over the keys saying "to me, to you"

I bumped into him at Gordano Services on the m5. Dropped his pepsi max over his suede shoes. Wasnt happy. Got to laff though rip.
