Our first choice front four (Grigg, Powell, Jacobs, Massey) all out injured, Wilder has shit himself over Evans and blocked him from playing while his would be replacement Gibson is suspended. Paul Cook continues to refuse starting McManaman despite him being our only fit attacker with proper pace. Worrying times in the land of pies.

Walton
James, Dunkley, Kipre, Burn
Morsy, Connolly
Byrne, Windass, Roberts
Garner

2-0 Blades. If they score early it could be a very long afternoon.

What do you make of that Kipre? looked a shocker at Deepdale but could have been a one-off.

The thought of Lee Evans playing scares the shit out of me too, I mean the man is a world class talent.

Hopefully back to winning ways here.

Inconsistent but a big talent. Can be a colossus one game and a bombscare the next. Only 21 though and just his second full professional season (and first at this level), so he should go onto better things than us in time.

Didn't realise he was so young, fair enough then.

He was class against us, well built for his age isn’t he.

Nailed on defeat. Shite away tactics were we play negative, slow dull long ball football and with our 6 best attacking players all out to make things worse.

At home we play high tempo, high pressing, quick passing, attacking football were we get forward with pace and in numbers and have the best home form in the division. So why do we play completely contrasting tactics away from home that clearly don't work or suit the players?

This talented young squad could have done something special this season if we had a go away from home, did so in the opening two games, should have vbeat Villa and battered Stoke so why change tactics, given how close the division is this season, so frustrating.

Just got back ,an even very open game.

Teams normally come to Bramall Lane and sit back soak up the pressure and get us on the counter, however I think Paul Cook thought everyone expects them to lose, so they may as well relax and go for it, Wigan were surprisingly attack minded, almost gung-ho style but looked brittle in defense.

Our most creative player Mark Duffy couldn’t play due to injury and instead we played 3 strikers. We really missed Duffy because his absence resulted in our least impressive (as in free flowing football) performance for a long time. Instead of over passing, we were direct at times but ironically it worked due to Sharp being clinical in front of goal.

Ended up winning 4-2 but think we were slightly lucky and maybe a draw would have been fair.

However we played some great football dominating Stoke on Tuesday night, we only drew 1-1 but definitely deserved to win. So it’s balanced itself out.

Good to see us have a go today like we did back in August away from home. Beaten by a more clinical team aided by some Non League defending.
