We're without Colin Doyle in goal and Josh Cullen (centre mid) after they were called up by Ireland, I don't think we've played the same 11 two games in a row yet? Defence roughly picks itself, midfield likewise, upfront is a weekly lottery as to who starts. Score draw for this one.

Will we ever seem to beat Dale in the league at Valley Parade?

I seem to recall the last victory may be have been back in 2008? Peter Thorne and Michael Boulding on the score sheet? Ahhh, the glory days.

It'd be nice to revert back to the defence that didn't ship goals for fun. Not overly keen on Killgallon at LB, either.

Vučkić has to start for me. He's a goal threat, who has an eye for a pass.

I think McCall will shake things up a bit, just for a change.

GK: Rouven Satimmaer (?)

RB: Stephen Darby
CB: Romain Vincelot
CB: Nat Knight-Percival
LB: Hopefully James Meredith

RM: Mark Marshall
CM: Timotheé Dieng
CM: Nicky Law
LM/CAM: Harris Vučkić

ST: James Hanson
ST: Billy Clarke

Fancy us to put in a gritty performance. Failing that, we can all watch the fancy new big screen play it's pizza adverts.

Many Dale making the trip? There's usually a good 600-800? Might see a total attendance of almost 19k.

Think we will struggle tomorrow, Dale always play on the front foot, can just see us being rusty after the intensity of the Sheff Utd and Wimbledon games and then a lot of the players having 2 weeks off.

Not really fussed about the replacements as Sattelmaier has apparently looked steady and we should have decent options to replace Cullen, so no excuses there really.

Surely Vuckic will get a chance despite City fans moaning all game he's not running about enough.

I thought I read he had a cut leg that might keep him out? Not sure but agree with the sentiment, his assist/goal tally per games played must be up there with anyone and things like his free kick the other night or the pass to Billy Clarke when Clarke set up Morias vs Fleetwood(?) are top draw. I'd like to see him given a run of games and don't buy into this 'he doesn't run enough' moan when he's capable of moments of real quality

This fixture is normally an entertaining game, whether it be Dale getting their customary win at Bradford, the Bantams getting their equally traditional win at Rochdale or rhe occasional feisty draw.

With five first teamers missing through injury, suspension and international callups, and various members of the squad being missing through illness, we may be down to the bare bones.

Best guess at the team/my choice would be:

Lillis
*
Rafferty
Keane
Canavan
Bunney
*
Morley
Camps
Rathbone
*
Cannon
Davies
Mendez-Laing

Subs: Whoever's fit, personally.hope that YT player Matt Gillam gets another chance, as by all accounts.he.did.pretty well in the Tin Pot at Hartlepool the other night.

Prediction: 1-2. Mmm'Bop for Bantams (as usual); Bunney (who likes Valley Parade) and Davies (who might have a point to prove) for.Dale.

Dieng's looked tidy, keeps the ball well. Scored a good goal against Sheff Utd. We play with 3 or 4 centre mids most games though so we dominate that area usually, it's hard to look shite. Not like under Parky where it was completely bypassed.

Davies got released by Parkinson, I reckon McCall might have kept him as he's no worse than some of our strikers. But I get your point.

He's maybe already proved his point then, having got our winner against Notlob a few weeks ago :)

Managed to plan a holiday for one of my favourite away fixtures so gutted to miss this. Both squads seem to have a few injuries. Score draw the result prediction for me. I'm off to try and find a Romanian stream of Soccer Saturday.

I've regained internet access and seen we're down to 10 and losing 4-0. Were Dale just fookin shite or are some of our fans going to blame the ref?

Wow. Rochdale are crap. No plan and absolutely no fight in them. Could've been 6/7.

Followed the game on Dale's twitter feed. From what I read:
We were OK for the first half hour or so, then Bradford upped the tempo.
Once they got going, they had too much experience and nouse for our injury hit team.
Another avoidable sending off not avoided, same player and same ref as in our defeat at Bristol Rovers?
Josh Lillis in goal kept the scoreline reasonable, if not exactly respectable.
Steve Davies plugged away up front with little support.
Bradford are a good team, and thoroughly deserved it.
Could be worse - I also follow Bury's twitter feed...:)

Rochdale were decent first 20 minutes and had one chance but struggled when we went up a gear and completely crumpled when we scored. Red was two blatant yellows so can't really complain much about it.

4-0 but being harsh it was a missed opportunity not to give our goal difference an even bigger boost, don't think 5 or 6-0 was out of reach

Decent for around 30 mins. Then after the first goal fell to pieces. Heavily depleted but still. Our away form is dire though, 0 scored 9 conceded in our last 3. Was a big ask today with so many missing though. I'm sure we will bounce back though.

One game doesn't make a side 'crap'. Heavily depleted as I mentioned above, today was always going to be difficult.

As comfortable as it gets, but Dale were a depleted side in their defence.Still we should of capitalised and scored more than 4.I thought we took our foot of the pedal for the final 30 minutes. But as i say comfortable

I don't think you are crap based on one game but surely you can't be happy with how you dissolved after we actually started playing. You had enough about you in the first 20-25 mins to suggest you could have responded better.

Maybe crap was the wrong way of articulating it, but good teams/squads don't capitulate in the way Rochdale did. There was a server lack of fight/resistance once we started playing. And that wasn't the best we'd played this year.

Good teams/squads have more strength in depth than we do. We struggled with all the absentees today. 16 year old Morley in the middle of the park in only his second league start. Obviously I'm disappointed, but there's room for a few excuses I feel today. When Bradford can bench the likes of Morais & Hiwula should we really stand a chance anyway?

Cannon looked good at the start, if we didn't have 237 centre mids I'd say we should have a look at him.

Got to say NKP for us has massively impressed me and improves every game. It looks too easy for him at times. Quality again today.

Cannon is becoming a fantastic player, another home grown talent, it's a good job we keep finding them to replace our best players once pinched from the bigger teams (vultures :£). Our youth system has served us very well in the last few years. Would be nice if we held out for better bids than we have done in the past though. Hogan for example went to Brentford for a rumoured 800-900k or so. Posh sold Assombalonga for £5.5mil in comparison.

Was impressed with NKP aswell, good defensively and pacey and useful coming toward too. Providing I'm actually talking about the right player here... your left back today kept coming forward with some pace?

No that's Meredith but he's been class for years. Think he's been here for 5 now? I have a love affair with our full backs. NKP plays centre back and I thought he would struggle to get in the side when we signed him in the summer but he's been the player of the year so far for me.

Meridith and Marshall then for me stood out today. Didn't notice NKP as much clearly :gmc:.

To be fair everyone had a good game today. Even Hanson scored (and then missed a sitter). Probably why Firthys not posted.

NKP bossed it, he never looks like he breaks sweat, Shrewsbury called him Rolls Royce or something and it's hard to disagree! Agree also on Rochdale's lad in centre mid, looked a great talent

Can I just say, let's not forget the first 40 mins where we posed zero threat whatsoever?

First real passage of play calved Dale open, and then Dale in turn were their own downfall.

Hanson did absolutely fuck all. Again. Missed a sitter, even though it was harder to miss.

Again, Vučkić must be scratching his napper!

Another win. Main thing.
