Friday night on the box if you're interested. Unfortunately I can't make the game and I don't think I'll have access to Sky to watch it either. Nervously checking my phone it is then.

Usually a tight and tense fixture this, us and Brighton have played each other many, many times down the years and there's never much between us. It's also a fixture that's been on Sky several times down the years and they've usually been a draw as I recall.

Brighton are safe now although perhaps want another point or three to be sure. They also have a rebuilding job to do ahead of next season and Hughton seems to be chopping and changing a bit trying things out from what I can tell. They may have had a quiet season, but they have some players I like. Rohan Ince, and Teixeria in midfield are handy. Lua Lua is a wild card in attack as well.

Brighton would absolutely hate to lose to us on their own shiny patch, especially if it gives us a step towards possible promotion. They're going to be up for it, so we need to be at our best. Certainly better than we were in the first half on Monday. We were pretty clueless and were undone by a mixture of organised high tempo pressing and fairly simple balls over the top to the big man. Our former Brighton lads at the back, Tommy Elphick and Steve Cook, need to be more switched on. As does calamity Boruc in goal, the big Polish nutcase. Brighton aren't scoring a huge amount at the moment but their centre backs pose a threat at set pieces.

In attack we're missing Marc Pugh at the moment who has an ankle knock. Either Ryan Fraser or Adam Smith will come in. I'd prefer Smith myself, as being a full back originally he's a bit more possession conscious, protects the flank better and is a bit stronger. To provide the damage it'll be Wilson and Kermorgant up front to start with and Jones to come on second half.

Oh god do we have to? Penalty + red card guaranteed, possibly multiple of each.

First time I've seen Brighton's team sheet in a while, fuck me, that's as mediocre Championship as you can get. How do the Brighton fans like my screensaver by the way?

Why did Sky seem so insistent that Bournemouth's promotion was inevitable and it was just a case of when? It's only a point and Norwich and Watford have both got decent run-ins?

Really poor so far, Brighton started with real tempo and intent but the game has descended into a bit of a snore fest.

Just waiting for that inevitable penalty I've been tipped off is coming

One might be enlightened though.

Norwich had the same type of performance at Brighton but won.

I imagine the only people watching the second half will be Brighton and Bournemouth fans, that was utter carp.

We can't be as bad second half, surely.

Calum Wilson's a class act. Reminds me of a young Jason Roberts.

Good win for Bournemouth in end without playing their best football.

We were poor for large portions tonight, but we showed a different side to our game. Brighton offered very little going forwards but it was good to see us look solid at the back for a change. Two moments of brilliance (Stockdale should have covered Yann's freekick however) sealed it.
Brighton will be a very different prospect next season, doing what Middlesborough did this time last year and building a solid base.

This could actually bloody happen. Still refusing to believe it but.... bloody hell

I was also going to say how good Lewis Dunk was until he kind of gifted us two goals

Dont know much about the game beyond the avalanche of txt messages I got second half / afterwards. But sounded poor with two moments of magic from Kermorgant and Wilson to win it?

Just relieved to get the result. Onto Tuesday now and another local away day and hopefully a decent chance of getting something there as well.
