Massive game for us, absolute must win for Johnson as well.

Giefer
Vyner, Flint, Wright, Golbourne;
Hegeler, Brownhill;
Cotterill, Tomlin, Bryan;
Abraham.
Think our shape looked much better against Wednesday in a 4-5-1, when we matched them 4-4-2 we looked vulnerable and they were finding pockets of space in between the lines.

Should have enough for Rotherham really, hopefully a big crowd in right behind the players & staff as they were on Tuesday. I'm going to be positive.

Bristol City 3-0 Rotherham

Hegeler, Brownhill, Taylor :D

This will no doubt be the end of Bristol City winless streak because we are absolute dyer especially away from home with just 1 away point all season. If we manage somehow to get a win then LJ should be deservedly sacked.

No idea what the line up will be but ill guess at

O'Donnell
Kelly, Ajayi, Wood, Purrington
Forde, Vaulks, Smallwood, Adeyemi, Newell
Ward

Subs: Bilboe, Mattock, Frecklington, Taylor, Bray, Yates, Morris

They wont be nowhere near 400 millers there be lucky to half that imo.

Rotherham to win 1-0 and ROD to play a blinder.

Kind of want Rotherham to win just to see the SERNWA fallout.
You can easily go off people on here! :box:
I'm being optimistic that our improved performance on Tuesday will have a knock on effect.
We will let in at least one because we always do.
3-1 City. Tomlin, Tammy and a penalty from our sub, the ex gashead to send the Gate into raptures and LJ to another contract extension. :ffs:
No doubt ROD will have a stormer but, with all respect to the Millers, this is a game we HAVE to win with the next 4 on the horizon.

We'll lose this one. All the signs paint a very clear picture.. Rotherham with a single point on the road all season.... Some optimism back after signing Taylor and ending our losing run. 1-2 defeat, Johnson gone. Then we'll probably go and win at Leeds or something daft.

Joel Ekstrand won't play already will he? I can promise he would do well for Rotherham.

Would normally be at this game because Bristol is a great weekend away.
But I can't warrant spending £200 on a weekend away when the away form is so dismal and depressing.
I reckon 260 ish, I really hope those that make the trip get a decent away day at last.

Oh fuck we surely have to win this. Although I did have a dream about a 0-1.:bl:

I would go for:

Giefer
Little Flint Wright Golborne
ODowda Hegeler Reid Bryan
Tomlin Abraham

Interesting to see whether Taylor starts, if not he can bloody well stay on the bench cos otherwise that means we need a goal.

I think you're pretty close with that side, maybe Brownhill for Reid. My only issue is that Tammy gets isolated at times, he certainly was on Tuesday.
We certainly HAVE to win today as anything from the next four will be a bonus.

Tomlin to drop back into midfield instead of Reid with Djuric or Taylor upfront, would solve that issue.

Come on City we have to smash these no hopers

What a load of shit this has been. Rotherham look poor we look just as bad.

No tempo, no pressing and no movement. Scary thing is I can see Rotherham nicking a goal.

Terrible stuff from us today, and despite the win Johnson clearly isn't the answer. Any half decent team would have won that easily.

What a shit game that Taylor changed. In fairness to Johnson he brought on three subs and they were the three involved in the goal.

Enjoy League One* SERNWA x

*we may yet join you.

Seemed like an absolutely nailed on scenario but I guess I didnt allow for just how shockingly bad Rotherham are. Happy to win but hope it doesnt allow Johnson more time.

Thank god for that. Just a shame our relegation rivals beat established Championship teams whilst we were scraping past League Two fodder.

Johnson is a lucky manager, very poor decision to deflate the crowd with a triple sub instead of giving Taylor his solo introduction. The announcer fucked it up too.

However the 3 subs combined and happy days.

We won but what an absolute shit fest that was!
I thought Rotherham should have been in front at half time as we were terrible and didn't get any better until the subs brought some attacking intent into the game. What's with the head tennis anyway? I can walk to the local park to see that.
Paterson, Djuric and Taylor totally changed the dynamic of the game and we started playing some football but that first 60 was the crappiest performance I've seen from a City side in a very long time.
We cannot play Pack and Hegeler in the same side, both are naturally defensive in mindset and we had no 'drive' from midfield until the changes. Get Bobby back in there, at least he looks to play football on the ground and has attacking intent
Utter rubbish City, absolutely woeful!

Seems strange to be so downbeat after we finally get a victory but that was a League 1 game and not a good one. First half was reminiscent of the Sheff Utd game under O'Driscoll. Played like absolute strangers, on and off the ball. Where did it all go so wrong?

Fair play to Johnson for the subs at least, couldn't believe he took off Abraham when he didn't seem to have a knock but it worked. People would've been baying for blood if it hadn't.

Taylor looked sharp. Cotterill has a great set-piece delivery but looked a bit one-dimensional in open play and just as hesitant to cross it as anyone else. Was very disappointed in Hegeler. He looked to have a touch of class against Cardiff and Sheff W but he was anonymous yesterday. Agree with Ciderup, him and Pack are too similar to play in the same team.

And thanks to O'Donnell for the helping hand. Fielding isn't great but he's the better of the two for sure.

I've seen Cotterill play twice for Birmingham this season, and he was able to get to the bye line and put in a cross on a number of occasions in those games. I think it was down to our tactics yesterday that he didn't. LJ seemed to set our stall out to keep our shape above all else, which would explain our poor movement and lack of tempo.
