An intriguing clash between 1st and 11th at the Pirelli on Saturday.

Burton have been on a slump(by their high standards) recently, losing 2 out of their last 3 games. This has allowed the chasing pack to close the gap on them. They now must be starting to feel the pressure as we enter the final 3rd of the season. With them losing one of their best players in El Kahayti to QPR, it will be interesting to see how they get on from here on out.

They face a Bradford side who have been stuttering alone, struggling to score but still scraping out results. Seems the natives aren't happy however. Can't imagine a defeat here will go down too well.

2 teams who don't do a lot of goals but do have decent defences. Can't look past a drab 0-0 or 1-0 either way here.

Form(last 6 games):
Burton: W4, D0, L2, F7, A4, Pts 12
Bradford: W2, D1, L3, F5, A9, Pts 7

Recent meetings:
Burton 1-0 Bradford(L2, 27 Oct 2012), Bradford 1-0 Burton(L2, 20 Apr 2013), Bradford 2-3 Burton(L2 POs, 2 May 2013), Burton 1-3 Bradford(L2 POs, 5 May 2013)

All matchday discussion in here.

Summed up perfectly.

A drab 0 0 or a tight 1 0 either way seems likely.
Think we will nick it 1 0 in a game of few chances.

The only thing I can add to the above is that El Khayati was not the same player after JFH left.
Will probably end up a goal fest now ! Seriously though expecting a tight game with a narrow victory for the Brewers.
Think there is going to be a minutes silence for the Bradford City chairman's wife which you can rest assured will be marked impeccably by Albion fans.

We don't score and our manager for the last few weeks has picked the worst central midfield partnership that I can remember, oh and we're playing top of the league, so nice one, another 2-0 home win prediction

Abysmal team. Fuck off Parkinson.

Not the greatest game but we didn't have to be great to beat a competitive workmanlike side in Bradford City.
Not a lot of creativity in the midfield from them and very predictable tactics which played into our hands. Apart from 5 or 10 minutes of the 2nd half we weren't really troubled until McArdle's late consolation header.
We got a lucky deflection for the first from Bennetts volley but the other 2 goals from Naylor and Duffy were well worked.
Another 3 points and onwards and upwards.

Would have to agree, there was little in the midfield today. Playing Hanson up front I would think playing with at least one winger would be sensible. I think the side that gained promotion from league 2 was much better than what you have now. Just my opinion.
We know how to get results with what we have, it looked like you were set up for a point or a 1-0.

Absolutely awful. Game lost as soon as the team was announced. Everyone in the pub prior to the game was hacked off with the team selection and the game panned out exactly as we all thought it would do.

Parkinson has lost the plot recently. Defenders in midfield. Two six foot plus strikers but no wingers to get crosses in. His obsession with Routis, who gets subbed at HT two weeks in a row but will still play next week. His complete and utter inability to build a team who look dangerous going forward.

Honestly, we'd be a good cure for insomniaca currently. It's dreadful.
