We have already announced our game is on the Tuesday at 7:45, so assume it won't be on Sky though they haven't announced the picks yet (other than Man U v Newcastle)
Only 3 games on Tuesday so never know .

Gave it a right good go last night. Wasn't a full strength West Ham but they still had some decent players in the line-up (to the tune of £170m!) and didn't send the kids.

Despite losing and no goals scored, there were plenty of positives and that was shown in the reaction during and after the game from the stands. I don't think there will have been any of the 11,000 odd who left feeling short changed from the match. If we had a proper front three we'd have potentially got through I reckon.

Love the announcement "Because of a lack of opportunity for games on Tuesday night we are putting both on Wednesday".

Surely Vale or Exeter could play Tuesday on TV!

If one of you were at home to premier league you would have been on. Absolutely no chance Mansfield vs Port Vale or Exeter vs Middlesbrough would be on. I'm not being a dick, but no chance of either of those games bringing in the viewers/ interest, esp if us vs West Ham wasn't on last round. Got to agree with the TV selection.

Your game should have been shown but its hard to disagree.
We will just have to get to the quarters (and draw Port Vale) then!

Good. Don't want it on TV. Rather be there.

You've only seen a couple of games from him, and one was against Forest Green. If you still feel the same in October and if he's in your starting line up I'll fess up
Just to follow up. Sparkes been playing 5 and half matches. Think he's had 7 goal involments. Got caught on the ball for Lincolns goal first start, but has been awesome. Motm displays in a few. Crossing is the best I've seen from a full back in league one. Hardly put a foot wrong defensively.

Mansfield away sold out after less than 40 hours of being on sale. Good stuff.

Looking forward to Tuesday. Boro not the biggest draw but they sold out their allocation and should be a great atmosphere. The chance to reach a major quarter finals for the first time in 42 years isn't to be sniffed at.

I still think that both you and Port Vale doing well in this cup has caused both clubs problems in the league. It has probably made you both quite a bit of money -- But I think looking at your squads you will both need to spend some all of it in January.

I don't think its anything to do with the cup. We had injuries and played tricky sides, we would have lost them if we had gone out in the first round

I don’t think it’s made any difference to us at all. Maybe a couple extra midweek fixtures but we’ve had games called off for international breaks so it evens out. Most the games we’ve lost have been hard fought encounters that could have gone either way so it’s nothing to do with this other than our failure to score. If anything this has been a really pleasant change this season to have a bit of a run in this and hope we put everything into making the quarters now.

The extra games maybe hasn’t helped with the thinning squad in one aspect but in fairness we made massive changes in the last two rounds so the key players haven’t had many minutes in this competition.

Plus we’ve made sod all money from it, the prize money is worse than the pizza cup per win and we’ve hosted Fleetwood and two league two sides.

Free hit Tuesday away from the league pressures though. Riddled with injuries but a win at a side unbeaten would really boost us at a low ebb. Sell out away following, Mansfield possibly after revenge for Wembley but it’s two different squads now.

Would be annoying to get this far and not play anyone big so it’s a flat ending for whoever loses.

Just hope we give it a good go and don’t throw it by putting three or four of the kids in. Rather do that against Burton and go full pelt here as more chance of getting a giant from this position than having to win two FA cup ties and rely on the luck of the draw involving 64 teams.

I agree that the prize money (or lack of) is a disgrace. The top sides clearly want to get rid of it though and will probably get their way in the next few seasons, and we will be left with the abomination trophy

I would rather they get rid of this and bring back replays in the FA cup. I never have any idea who won this in the previous season and wouldn`t miss it. Very tough game at Mansfield tomorrow given our current injuries and form, bookies correctly have them down as even money favourites.

Yep, should be good. Reckon we’ll play well and who knows, we could nick another 1-0 but we’ll have to be at our absolute best to do that and hope they’re off the pace.

Boro will probably make a handful of changes but they’ll be strong regardless. The league has to take priority but to get to a quarter final would be amazing.

I see Josh Coburn has started recently for Boro so they must be struggling. I'm surprised as I didnt want him back here let alone think he is ready for the Championship

I'd be utterly amazed if we won here given our respective form. Yes, they're in the league below but are probably a better team than us at the moment. I was willing to give Crosby some time as I do believe that the strategy he wants to adopt will bear fruit eventually but he has no idea of a Plan B way of playing, which is what we need at the moment with our injury situation. Good managers adapt to their circumstances. That second half on Saturday was worse than some of Aspin/Michael Brown performances...as bad as we've been for several years. That, combined with the fact that there was a real toxic atmosphere on Saturday, suggests that a stay of execution is only temporary.

If we put in the performance levels prior to the weekend and just take a chance or two we’ve a chance, if we play as we did Saturday we will get battered.

We’ve got the players to win tomorrow but Crosby needs a huge performance, lose tomorrow especially if we play poorly and I can see him being let go, or at the very least on the thinnest of threads ahead of Burton.

Into the Quarters for us. Brilliant performance tonight, only thing would say is if we were only slightly clinical we’d have been out of sight but job done.

3 wins from the Europa League…

Looks like Exeter should be really proud of their efforts tonight as well.

We dominated that and our midfield was just a level above they couldn’t get close to it. Hopefully a catalyst to kick start the season back into gear. Just want a good draw now!

Fingers crossed though under no illusion it’ll end up being fucking Ipswich or Boro. If we do get a Man Utd, Arsenal etc hopefully it’s away as with capacity restrictions at VP currently it’d look terrible on TV (assuming it was picked).

Disappointed to go out but the right result. 4 cracking goals and a clumsy penalty. Boro picked it up in the second half and pressed us more. Trevitt looked class for us, but we had a few injuries, including Mitchell which is a concern.
Well done to Vale and I hope you get a decent draw in the quarter finals.

Cracking night and makes a lot of the hard times worth it, first ever QF in the League Cup and first in any major competition since we beat Leyton Orient away in the FA Cup QF in 1954.

With Garrity, Arblaster and Lowe back we were miles better and had we put that performance in at the weekend we'd have won that so its a tad frustrating but that was probably our most complete performance of the season, our midfield three of Arblaster, Devine and Ojo was phenomenal. Devine has took time to settle in but was unplayable last night, adding to his spectacular goal at the weekend and if we can get him performing like that with Arblaster every week we will be in a very good place.

It was a big result for Crosby and probably saves his job for now, hopefully thats Crosby's John Rudge moment who was in a similar position before beating Macc Town in the FA Cup to save his job which then set up 15 glorious years in the late 80's and 1990's and it has to be a catalyst now to turn the league form around, the midfield we have is ridiculous but its wasted if we don't score goals, the positive was Uche looked fitter and caused problems so thats a plus, Jesse Debrah was outstanding as well after a mixed start to his Vale career.

One of the great nights and hopefully the draw is finally good to us and doesn't give us a dire fixture like Middlesbrough or Ipswich and we finally get a giant.

Is it too soon to start working out if I need a visa for Kazakhstan, how to get from the aiport in Vagar to the main stadium in the Faroe Islands and where is best to drink ahead of Sevilla away next season...

Err yes it is too early. Surely it will be Chelsea, we`ve avoided each other since 1929, I have seen us play every other league team, it would be nice to complete the set.
