Cardiff will play their second home Tuesday fixture of the season tomorrow, when Boro come to town. They will be making the 10 hour round trip and be hoping to pick up where they left off on Saturday, picking up a 2-1 victory at Huddersfield. Cardiff on the other hand haven't picked up a win in their last three games, with one draw and two defeats. Boro are currently sat in 11th in the Championship table picking up nine points in six games. But Cardiff are in the bottom half of the table, sitting in 15th spot, the lowest point they've been for over 3 years. The last time Cardiff faced Boro in the Cardiff City stadium the Bluebirds picked up a 1-0 victory, but they couldn't grab a victory in the Riverside arena losing 2-1 with Sammy Ameobi's fine individual performance proving the difference.
Cardiff, will again be without Ben Turner who looks to be out for a long while, and it seems that Fabio will also be unavailable for the match after picking up a knock against Norwich. But they will be very pleased to hear that Craig Noone, who picked up two assists for Cardiff reserves tonight, may be available for selection very soon. Noone may also be joined by new signing Bruno Ecule-Manga, who didn't feature against Norwich due to arriving back from international duty late.
Karanka's Boro on the other hand, have a fresh squad to pick from with no injuries from the Huddersfield game.
I can see Adam Le Fondre having his first team spot given back after a mediocre performance from Kiko Macheda. Le Fondre without a doubt will partner Kenwyne Jones who seems a revelation for the Bluebirds this season. After impressive performances on the weekend, I can see Whittingham and Ralls both playing a part against Boro. Pilkington didn't do much wrong against Norwich so he definitely deserves another start. I would finish the midfield off with Mats Daehli, he often provides the attacking flair that we need to get a goal. As Fabio is out, I would imagine that Declan John will start, even after a poor performance against Norwich. At the heart of the defense, if ready for action, Bruno Ecule-Manga will be partnered by either Connolly or Morrison. The right back spot will be filled by John Brayford. And between the sticks, the captain David Marshall.
I can see Boro using the same line up as they did against Huddersfield, that team is as follows-
  • 13 Konstantopoulos
  • 03 Friend
  • 04 Ayala
  • 06 Gibson
  • 02 Abella Perez
  • 27 Adomah
  • 08 Clayton
  • 20 Reach
  • 07 Leadbitter
  • 09 Enrique Garcia
  • 21 Vossen
My score prediction for this game is Cardiff 2-1 Boro, the Bluebirds haven't looked fantastic this season but I can see us getting the job done, otherwise Mr Solskjaer may be waving goodbye.
