Cheating Wycombe goalkeeper

Having just seen the football league show I hate to see such unprofessional behaviour to get a player sent off, plus not impressed by our ex player Jacobson role in it either.

I hope this gets looked at and Wycombe get a warning as their is no place for this kind of behaviour in the game!

I'm not so sure if it's the players themselves or their managers/coaches who are to blame. Only thing I know is that I don't blame the ref or the lino as they rarely get a clear look at the incidents and only go on the players reaction.

Sadly it happens. Once saw Pepe "Fat Cheating Shit" Reina run the entire length of the pitch to insist that Stephen Ward was sent off. But we forgave the obese, Spanish c**t long ago. We were gutted, though, to see Wardy score the winner at Anfield a year later past the fat bumbling bald gobshite prick. Shortly after that, Reina won the Golden Sphincter Award for the longest distance any overweight Spanish goalkeeper has run to have someone sent off whilst simultaneously impersonating female genitalia. Git.

It wasn't just the way he went down, but that he twice deliberately trod on the other player's foot in the build-up. Hopefully that will be picked up by video as the ref missed it and he'll get a ban too.

Bitter and desperate comes to mind. EVERY team has players who con the ref with diving when not touched or are you saying Cambridge have a team of angels? As much as i dislike it it's part of the modern game i'm afraid and seems to get worse every season.

We have players who go down softly (and I am not a fan of that), but I can't remember anyone playing for us doing anything like that, certainly not under Richard Money anyway.

McGeehan was an idiot for retaliating and got rightly sent off, and your keeper will be punished retrospectively as well, and rightly so, absolute clown.

I can't see how Wycombe supporters can justifiably defend the actions of their keeper, but they will publically in the name of their team fully in the knowledge of his wrong doing and slur on the image of his team.

The lad only slightly lashed out but unfortunately he reacted and he can't really complain about the red card.

As for the wycombe keeper, Id be embarressed if I were him or a wycombe fan, it was ludicrous. There's no place for crap like that in this league.

That said, though wycombe held us to a draw at field mill a fortnight ago they all went down faster than a southern bird, must be a team thing

Mowgs - Not bitter or desperate myself. In fact deliberately didn't comment on the incident and waited for neutrals to have their say.

I think that Ingram has now made a rod for his own back. Even if there is no retrospective action (does that happen outside the premiership?), fans (especially ours) will remember both his provocation and reaction. I hope we can come up with something more creative than our persistent "Ingram is a cheating cnut!" but that will do for now.

In the first 10-20 minutes, we'd have gone behind if you had a decent striker on the pitch. We then did enough for me to be pleased with the performance if not the result. That said, we shouldn't have conceded either the free kick or the goal. Coming from behind was always going to be difficult against your defence. I don't blame the ref for the red card or the result but he did have a mare - Missing Ingram's toe-grinders was disappointing but understandable, bottling the foul on Elliot when clear in the first half and the stonewall pen when Simpson was hauled down at the post red card corner were not.

On a positive note, the next home match (Portsmouth) should deliver our 10th 5,000+ gate of the season and more cash for next season, although the debate continues over how many of yesterday's 6,894 were actually present.

Nah not bitter, but it hurts when it happens to the side one supports. Btw, I wasn't referring just to Wycombe in my post, as I clearly said that such antics are commonplace in football. Having said that, yesterday's incident is one of the biggest cons I've had the displeasure of watching.

I have to say more fool the referee who was looking straight at it and was very quick to make his mind up... it was a laughably poor effort at conning the ref but somehow it worked. This referee has given 3 red cards in his last 4 games.

Also how on Earth Cambridge allowed Hogan Ephraim to score a goal will forever be a mystery.

EDIT: Watched footage of his other red cards and to be fair the other two were both blatant reds.

In fairness, clearly booting the opposition goalkeeper is usually seen as a valid red card.

I watched this on FLS and at first I felt sorry for Cambridge, then I remembered their play acting feigning injury when we played them and thought, what goes around, comes around.
Cambridge and Gateshead by far the two worst teams for this I have ever seen at Blundell Park.
So no point moaning about it when you are renowned for doing it yourselves!!

We're not going to agree on this so should probably move on but, for the record, I remember us being on the back foot, defending a lead and dealing (relatively comfortably) with a series of lumps forward into the box in the second half of both matches last season. Whilst not rushing to re-start or rise after a tackle (who would?) by that stage, we weren't time wasting from the off and I saw no cynical falling over. In fact, the league match was a classic away performance for those of us who travelled that night and the team/manager have identified it as the key point in the season when everything gelled.

And if he really thinks we do this kind of thing, then it will be a good thing if Grimsby don't go up, which btw, is a very likely outcome if they continue to persist with a useless manager. Otherwise, if by some miracle Hurst takes them up, the fans will be seeing play acting and feigning injury by half of league 2's sides.

Yes I have actually seen way more play acting and timewasting in this division than I ever saw in the Conference, Crawley (under Evans) included.
