Hopfully we are refreshed enough after extra time on Tursday. We're still unbeaten in normal time, although we've drawn a lot of games let a few leads go. Now we move onto the team we beat at Wembley a few years ago thanks to a special Nick Powell goal, certainly a day I will never forget.

As for this game Cheltenham have struggled about for points. Billy Waters plays against us for the 1st time since his release a few years ago.

Cheltenham 2-2 Crewe (Waters 2, Dagnall, Cooper) 2,766 (232 railwaymen)

Another game I'd like to think we can win, which sounds weird to say after the last few years.

Defeat wouldn't be the end of the world, but after letting leads slip in the last 3 games, I'd like to see us hit the front and stay there, especially against a Cheltenham team that have struggled a bit back in L2.

Play like we did on Tuesday against Newcastle, and with a bit more luck in front of goal, we'll win tomorrow.

Play like we did against Donny last week then we'll get absolutely battered.

Impossible to say which team will turn up and, unlike last season when it was clear everyone was pulling in the same direction, the club seems more fractured, including the freezing out of one of last season's best players for seemingly no reason. It's nothing like 14/15, but there needs to be some unity in the squad and that's not fully evident at the moment.

Pivotal month for Davis September is. Performances seem to be getting worse by the game/week. Fatigue? A sign we'll be consistently inconsistent on our way to a mid-table finish? Or a manager still failing to do the basics of his job correctly?

And yet another goal conceded from a corner this season, joke...

Sigh. A game that sounded all too familiar to a lot of the ones we saw over the last 3 seasons. Out of it by half time, gave it a better go after the break, but never looked like getting back in the game.

Lowe, Dagnall and Kiwomya have helped us improve, but the holes in this squad(on and off the pitch) can't be papered over.

Crewe were by some distance the worst team I've seen in the first half yesterday, they looked toothless up front and were out-battled in the midfield. That being said, it was our best performance of the season, bar none.

Hopefully this will kickstart our season and we'll go on a little run now.
