Have to agree - that must be an attempted wind up. Aside from Forest Green, I haven't seen a team do the passing game as well as us in this league. It's what our whole tactics are about!

Fair enough. You're the best side the conference has ever had in it. My apologies.

No need to be a c***. Direct usually means pumping it long to the forwards or wingers - we don't really do that. Just saying you clearly haven't watched us, or you're on the wind-up.

Near year don't be surprised when Chipmunx and Monkey Tennis predict that their strikers score 40 and 50 goals each.

Stockport County have swooped, yes SWOOPED, for Danny Lloyd on loan from Salford

Scored 22 for us during his last spell, and helped Salford get promoted last year. Be fantastic to see that tricky little bugger back in a County shirt

He was on about 5 grand a week and did absolutely zilch all season, did he even score a goal? He's an über c*** too.

Be very interesting to see if he plays wide left in a 4-2-3-1 or we go 3-4-1-2 once we’ve brought in a couple of more players.

Not at all troubled by his Salford record as Alexander never wanted him and they never played to his strengths. His record with Peterborough in League One shows he should be more than capable of being one of the best attackers in this league.

Up to four loanees now so I’m guessing we might look at some potential permanent players next.

Stockport County.
Lloyd was quality for us in the North no question so I get why our fans are happy with it but it was 3 years ago and he's not played loads of football in that time inbetween. If he plays like he did in 16-17 he'll be ace though.

Not absolutley convinced its the massive statement of intent from the new owners as is being made out though. a) it's only a loan and b) Is he on more than Tom Walker and Rodney were when they came from Salford? If we didn't know him personally, his profile would seem pretty similar to those players.

Stott seems a breath of fresh air and its clearly a boost for the club but I can't help but think our fans are getting a touch carried away based on this signing.

The squad needs sustained improvement and building ready for next season. Lloyd is a shot in the arm but a very strong full time squad on a competitive budget for next season should be the absolute priority.

Keeper Liam O'Brien signs on for the rest of the season after getting injured at Solihull in September. Given we won all four games in which he played, and he looked the most assured from the 83 keepers we've used this season, pretty pleased with that.

No idea when he's going to be fit enough to play, but given they've announced him signing today, you'd assume he'd be fairly close.

The answer to (b) is most definitely yes as he got pay rise when he left Peterborough - though obviously we won’t be paying his full wages.

Agree with the rest of it though - it would take another 3 or 4 signings of similar quality to Lloyd for me to believe we could get promoted this season and I’m not sure whether the players are available at this time of year.

Saw him start for us in our opening day fixture against Rochdale, was pretty anonymous and never came out for the 2nd half. Hardly featured since.
Coventry fans at the time were surprised he’d gone to another league 1 club as they were expecting him to go out on loan in a lower league.

Didn't realise he was still going.

Fourth choice striker at our place behind Wootton, Thomas and Dennis, and has probably been pushed off the bench by the arrival of Callum Roberts from Blyth and the return of Jim O’Brien.

Guessing this is last chance saloon for Tyson, it's unfortunate that I think we signed him as a "just in case of injuries" player and he was the first to get injured!

He "should" still be able to do a job at this level, but honestly think he will retire at the EOS.
Not sure if Notts are aiding or hampering Chesterfield with these signings although still think Tootle is good enough.

Pools sign Macauley Southam-Hales from Fleetwood on loan until the end of the season in what must be the poshest sounding name we've ever signed.

I think we only signed Tyson because we had him on trial anyway, he’s cheap and we barely had enough players to field a team in the first couple of weeks. To be fair he’s looked okay on the odd occasion he’s played, not the player he was but works hard and still has a yard of pace.

Following the completion of his loan spell, Louis John has signed a contract until the end of next season. Properly happy with that, he signed on loan a few days before the Torquay game that saw our upturn in form and he’s probably the main reason why. Very happy right now
