2 year deal for Rowe is much more palatable for me. I’m happy now

We've just announced the signing of Darren Stephenson on loan until the end of the season. Bizarre one as we now have 6 strikers and we've been told we won't pay any loanees wages. Has to be freebies.

I don't know about you but I feel like everyone else is shopping at M&S and we've just walked out of Aldi haha.
Perhaps any Stockport fans might be able to inform us what we can expect.

Besides, as Fyldefan used to assure us, Rowes family (or his missus?) Is rich, so he basically plays for free, for the love of the game.
Ha ha ha very good. It was written into his contract (which our owner disclosed when he sold him) that he would always be the top earner at the club no matter what and so he should have been as well. He was miles better than everyone else

Yes, it doesn’t strike me as an exciting signing on paper. Don’t see how he even gets in the team in all honesty

Having just seen our financial accounts for 2019-20, we’re light years away from issuing 3 year contracts.

Well he’s not a striker for a start at least he very rarely played there for us - nearly all his appearances were on the left wing.

Had two or three serious injuries in his career, always bounces back from them but you feel that’s hindered his career. Very much a confidence player but when he’s bad he’s really bad. Gannon used to love him for his ability to dribble and get the team up the pitch when under pressure.

He’s a good NLN player but probably not good enough to make a real impact at the top half of this division but I would have said the same about Bell and he did quite well for you so you never know.

He won't be starting. He'll be on the bench and an option to rest Hyde or Chadwick

We've apparently released Danny Elliot after only 9 days at the club.

Signed Lucas Tomlinson on loan from the Gas. You never know what you'll get with these young wingers but he had a spell with Bath earlier this season so at least it's not his first taste of real football.

We have?

I know DC was talking about the possibility of him going back to Chester at the end of the season but I haven't seen anything?

Got told by a mate who's slightly in the know.

Stockport County.
Stephenson on his day was one of our best players in our NLN tite season. But two key points from that are a) on his day and b) National League North

Got a bad injury in pre season 19-20 which means we never saw him at this level. Gannon kept him on until he found a club this summer gone which I believe was Curzon Ashton. Obviously they have had a very disrupted season.

Some good stuff in Aldi, to be fair. If you're doing your big shop in M&S you've got more money than sense. Get your spuds and carrots and tinned goods from Asda, cheese from Aldi. Splash out on a nice lamb joint from Waitrose or a decent butcher and hope it bangs 25+ goals in.

Had it from someone ITK (ex fylde skipper when Rowe was there) that Rowe was on £1800 a week at Bradford. Apparently Rowe’s told him that he couldn’t turn down our offer, so you’d assume we’ve probably increased that and paying him between £2k - £2.5k a week

Those figures sound more likely, although surprised he was on so (relatively) little at Bradford.

We found Eli Sam in the Aldi middle aisle.
Funny you say that as I said this in the summer...
Holloway is quite literally doing the football equivalent of spending his pocket money in Lidl in those weird metal baskets in the middle that have pressure washers for £15.99 and electric drills for a fiver.

His goal bonus will have been an extra grand or so, and he's left cos he wasn't getting in the team.

Nah it was expected, always looked like a strange move on their end, probably knock us out the playoffs
Sounded like he really enjoyed his short spell here.
Hopefully he‘ll knock in a few own goals at County to help us out.
