The squad is shaping up nicely. Still worried we have no competition for Wooton or anyone to come in of he gets injured. Hopefully that will be sorted soon.

Think that’s the last bit of the jigsaw. Tough one to get right as if Wootton is available he plays no questions asked, but we had very little from the bench upfront last season. Sam and Knight have something to offer, I think, but not as out-and-out strikers.

Yeah, location presumably a big factor, but still an impressive bit of business. Interesting bit in the Notts Post story about it - Ben Turner is mates with him from Burton and helped persuade him to join. Suggests we’re onto a good thing with the general feeling around the club if someone we’ve released is willing to do that for us.
What’s left now then you reckon?

Striker
Back up Gk
Potentially Bennett??

Striker definitely, back up goalkeeper if we want to send Brooks out on loan. Bennett I think is a possibility as he’s a similar profile to Roberts, so means we could wrap Cal in cotton wool a bit and have cover if he does break again. Possibly another central midfielder if we are planning on Doyle not playing at all, if he is going to feature a bit then we look fine there.

i think we might look at a loan striker now. As far as backup keeper, with only 5 subs and not naming a keeper on the bench they will hardly get matchfit.

i like the side we have now. couple of loans maybe but im am happy

There’s still a few rumours of Scott Boden doing the rounds which I wouldn’t be against as a backup to Kyle. Definitely thinking Bennett as a backup to Cal which would be brilliant. Maybe the last potential central midfielder could be one of the current trialists who are still with us training?

He's really an embarrassment to our club. Please just put him in ignore. I can't even see what he's said and I'm embarrassed
No "pal", your grovelling to appease and please fans of what you mistakenly believe are bigger and better clubs than ours is the embarrassment. Stick to the home forum where nobody challenges your relentlessly fascile bollocks. :bdick:

Don't need to show you anything except a football league table, something you can only look at from a distance.
Meh, it's overrated, as evidenced by your eagerness come back to the TinPot Brotherhood. Welcome home, chuck. :db:

Surely that moron has run his course on here now.
Not yet, I think they'll both be gone if we lose a few early on though. As you know, I'm the one constant here that everyone can count on, win or lose, rain or shine. :ds:

Looks a stronger squad than last year to me, a bit more youth and pace.
We need a no 9 to take some of the burden of Wootton but on paper we look to have one of the strongest squads in the league now.
A lot of change since Saturday.

the problem is though, when he sets up the match thread and noone realises because 95% of people have him on ignore, and we all post on the previous weeks thread.

If no one realises, why is it a problem? Wouldn't somebody else set one up? You didn't think this one through did you sweetcheeks. Have another go. :ds:

Nah groups like that are fine, I was just picturing a huge group of Stockport fans in one WhatsApp group which would surely be carnage.

I reckon a Halifax one would consist of B2TF and only B2TF after everyone else left.
And he’d still be annoying

For those of you who’s heads are being done in by B2TF’s hilarious banter, just be thankful you’ve never had to share a forum with the Bolton Wanderers fans, one in particular is 10 times worse than B2TF, hard as that probably is to believe.

This got posted on one of our message boards "We should be signing Tom Pope who's left Port Vale." - it was universally ridiculed.

Someone said that on our message board as well. Probably the same person who will moan about our actual signings and then advocate for a 35 year old with injury problems.

Nah not the Chesterfield one. It’s the Gary Roberts who was once immensely talented but had let’s say a number of off-field issues and managed to get sacked by ourselves, Rotherham, Crewe and Yeovil.

Thought Pope would end up at Hanley Town as they seem to be the latest hobby club trying to get off the ground.

Sign Pope and Hanson on a combined single wage and they can tag in and out of the physio room simultaneously.

Harry Lennon on a one year deal. A little unsure about this one given his injuries tbh
