B2TF is definitely that one in the Whatsapp group who sends every half a sentence on a different message.

He's definitely a marmalade and two sugars kind of guy.

Kairo Mitchell to us effectively confirmed, his agency’s Twitter account has put up a pick of him signing a contract in what is obviously our training kit. :bl:

Wasn't anywhere near good enough in the 8 games he played for us last season.

Wish the lad well but glad we've got a fee for him and hope we can now bring in someone more suited to our style of play.

Notts County spending more fees on players. Just because he's seemingly crap, doesn't mean it hasn't been noted. It will be reflected in the forensic wages list that will be disclosed before the start of the season.

Interesting signing, but following the same profile as a few other signings. Young enough to be moulded into what we want him to be.

Did well at Kings Lynn but didnt play a lot at Chessie.

I think we might be done now barring any injuries

We’ll probably sign that Hondermarck kid we’ve got on trial having got rid of all of the others and kept him on, but other than that yep that’s us I think.

Turned down bigger financial offers from Hartlepool, Accrington and Notts County. And that's right from the horses mouth.

It's a top 5 budget. I will grant the forum that. But no evidence of any higher.

Looking at the reaction of some of our fans to signing Mitchell, there’d have been riots if we’d brought Ben Barclay back. Sounds like nonsense though, we were only ever in for one centre back and signed Cameron a few days after the play-off final.

Barclay made 26 starts in League One last season and was offered a good deal from Accrington. By most accounts it's his relationship with Rusk where he was a young player at Brighton and the fact he's a Manchester lad that has swung him our way from offers outside the North West. It seems a solid signing on paper.

Mitchell seemed unwanted at NL Chesterfield and by the sounds even King's Lynn weren't overjoyed with him. Different calibre of player you'd have to say. Similar age too. No guarenttes about the success of either.

In our case, Will Fish has started training with us and United mates reckon we've caught (funny for me) a good one. Seen it go wrong with young players before though, lets hope he can excel. Going off the signings of Fish and Barclay, our squad profile and the majority of what Rusk has gone with so far, the 3/5 at the back looks like it's still our go to formation which will displease a lot of our fans. We'll see how we line up tonight. I'd go for 4-4-2 me. Student of the game and all that.

I thought Barclay was alright, but was very much towards the top of his list of fans at Notts. A lot haven’t forgiven him for getting sent off early on in the game that probably consigned us to relegation in the end. Would definitely have been some complaints had he come back here, but I suspect he’ll prove to be a solid signing for you.

To be honest I think Notts, Chesterfield and Stockport are at a point where there aren’t any obvious weaknesses in their squads. Different strengths, but overall all three look to have good players across the pitch. Wrexham will likely join this group when they’re done signing people. Will probably come down to the stuff we can’t know yet - who has the best coach, team spirit, bravery to go and win games, consistency, luck with injuries and all of that. Which will probably all go the way of Bromley or someone. :D

As it is we only have 2 strikers, so could do to bring some cover in there. Maybe at CB too. One or two out to balance. I don't think we're quite finished yet

Had we not signed Warburton and Gilmour I'd have been open to having Whelan at Halifax, although I'd suspect Eastleigh would offer more than us. Haven't they just signed Hesketh though? Do they need another attacking midfielder?

We do have another attacking midfielder on trial called Jamie Cooke who scored around 9 and got 6 assists for Colne in 13 games before their season got called off. Only 18/19 too so could be a good prospect.

I've got Bromley to be right up there. They seem to sign some good hungry players to me. It won't be as simple as a straight fight between us north of Birmingham big boys, surely.

I think the fee will be to pay his contract off at Chestrefield, I suspect his wages are pretty low.

Tom Whelan announced by Eastleigh - great signing for them. IMO a better player than Mandeville who we opted to keep over Whelan.
