Billy Chadwick been recalled by Hull. Big blow for us losing him and Nyal Bell in quick succession. Both contributed in our turn of form. Sounds like Chadwick might be going to Grimsby on loan

Midfielder Martin Smith confirmed as signing from Salford City. Take’s JR’s signings to 9 in total..

Expect to see some movement of players out of the club in the coming week now to balance the books

Strange one.

His CV is hardly glistening. Time will tell.

Does it really balance the books thou as any player under contract with require that contract paid up before they will leave, same with any manager that gets the sack.

Well it depends. If a club is willing to sign them then they may mutually terminate their contract with no need for compensation to be paid, which happens quite a lot at our level.

Also, many of the players were looking to move on will be on higher wages than the ones we’ve brought in, so in the long run it’s likely we’ll actually save a bit of money in that sense.

Obviously anyone we have to pay up to release we may need to take a hit on, but we’ll see.

I think a number will go out on loan at least getting a portion of their wages off our books. I think the likes of Boden etc could get another permanent deal elsewhere.

Happy with that, we can all see where the obvious flaw is in this team and this in turn should push Michael Phillips further up the pitch into his more natural position.. Hoping and assuming that Josh Meekings is a right footed centre back to give us some balance which we've been missing all season.

And the signings of Maxim Kouogun and Josh Debayo recently too, give us alot more experience and depth now at the back.

I can't see Kouogun or Debayo featuring much over the next few weeks, the pair of them need to get up to speed with their fitness - Debayo in particular was blowing out of his backside less than 15 minutes after coming on as a sub at Maidenhead.

Huddersfield Town sign Boreham Wood winger Sorba Thomas on a three and a half year deal

Must have missed this one. He looked like a world beater against us on the opening day.

Surprised Tshimanga is still there as well, surely he'll be moving soon.

Effiong is definitely trying to chase down the Trevor Benjamin/Jefferson Louis/Richard Pacquette record of the most Clubs played for.

EDIT - Pacquette was on number 38 but that's only until 2018 and J'Lo on number 46 in 2020 so he's got a fair way to go yet to be fair!

Shamir Mullings is the new one to watch.

First time I've been in this thread in ages and it is quite clear to see that Barnet are suddenly Going For It™.

Confirmed, Tyler Denton moves to Kings Lynn on a free transfer.

Hope he does well there, never really got much of a chance here and was always going to be on his way out when JR brought in 2 left backs

For "going for it" read "trying to build a functioning defence". We're still in deep shit.

Appreciate you didn't see much of him but what sort of full back is he? Culverhouse likes his full backs to attack but think he has finally realised that in this league they need to be able to defend too and Alex Brown who signed in March has really struggled at left back this season.

I thought he was decent to be honest, especially going forward. Had a decent cross on him and could pass as well. Think it was the Notts County game he had his best game for us, got 2 assists from LB and looked a decent signing. Pemberton got the sack and Rowe came in and brought in his own players and he didn't feature after that.

Sheffield United have recalled Sam Graham from his loan here. Understandable as he’s struggled to get a game - looked class when we had him at the start of last season, but got a serious injury and had to go back then. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him pop up at another NL club as he needs games.

Wish that would have happened a week or two earlier. He was absolutely class for us in his loan spell a few years back and we've just signed a different young centre back on loan from them

Torquay sign Max Sheaf from Hull on loan till the end of the season and seemed to be well-liked by Cheltenham fans who he was last with on loan. Pleased with this one.
