We’ve signed right back Kenton Richardson from Sunderland and centre back Mark Elllis from Tranmere on loan for the season.

Both basically as cover because Richard Brindley and Ben Turner are injured and Ardley is worried about the number of games. He certainly can’t say that he isn’t being backed to the hilt.

wtf is going on, why are we signing players who look like we're going to get a call off his teacher asking why he didn't turn up to school today? 33 players on the books now..

Any good Fylde fans?
Shaw was decent for us yeah. Not sure how he will perform with the step up but looked a good player at the level we’re at

We have added two to replace the (up to 10) furloughed players. Crazy situation the club finds itself in but probably the right thing to do for the finances if not morally from those looking in from the outside. Both players joined their current clubs post 31st October last year so couldn't be furloughed so assume anything we can contribute towards wages (both have signed on loan) would help their current clubs?

Simeon Jackson form Chelmsford Simeon Jackson signs for the club - King's Lynn Town FC

Why are you signing senior players instead of random teenagers?

You're not even taking this race for 8th place seriously, are you

Fair enough, not sure what he adds to our squad over someone like Newby from the same level however. As much as Williams has had a bad start here, I'd much prefer we try and work with him given the money we spent and I think he has a 3 year contract..

If we can find a good random teenager at right back then god help us we will try and sign them. You can never have enough right backs.

Kenton never kicked on for us and ended up being released, shown promise as a youngster but got worse over time, as a backup body to have around the place sure he's fine, but if he's gonna start every week you'll see why we got shot of him.

He’s basically been signed because two of our three right backs (one another loan signing who got crocked on his debut) are injured for at least the next two or three weeks. Dion Kelly-Evans is fit and a class act who’ll be first choice, but we’ve got so many games coming up that we need someone to rotate in. So he’ll almost certainly play the FA Trophy game against Hornchurch and probably some of the ‘easier’ looking league games.

It’s one where I’d have been fine with us muddling through maybe shifting one of our collection of left backs out of position for a game if it came to it, but there we are.

He's not very good like, athletic but can't defend or read the game. He somehow got picked up Sunderland U23 in the summer, maybe he's improved, but that would be from a low base.

Got hoovered up alongside his mate Josh Hawkes by the sounds of things who seems to be flying for them.

Christ, sounds like we’re signing someone else today as well. Taking the throw more players at it approach.

Josh Hawkes always had some ability, he should make a decent career in the lower leagues. Richardson though was a real brain scratcher. Couldn't for the life of me understand why they signed him up as well.

Signed Lewis Knight on a permanent from Bradford Park Avenue. Two and a half year deal, so we must rate him, forward with 9 in 14 for them this season.

Quick striker, played very well against us but BPA are very direct and plastic pitch suited his game, but is the one striker seen this season that I wanted us to sign.
Thought Chesterfield signed all good players from North.

Sounds promising, we could really do with a bit of pace and unpredictability upfront. Hope he’s half as good as our last signing from the North.

Some of our released youngsters got picked up by higher level clubs. Its either because we missed someone with ability to improve, or these clubs are beefing up their U23 squads.

Probably the latter, many EFL and Premier League U23 squads are ridiculously bloated.

Yeah it's a low cost risk, just sweep up youngsters, hope to uncover or develop a gem that slipped through and chuck the rest back down to the regional leagues.

They’ve been throwing Salford money about. It was a massive thing on here beginning of the season. Stockport were huge favourites to win the league with the bookies because they literally threw money at anything that moved. Signed about 20 players. Spent a fortune signing one of our better players then took another from us on huge wages.
You always said you didn’t pay big wages then all of a sudden we took a guy off you and he was on huge wages.

Croasdale had been great when fit and could see him making the step up to the EFL no problem.

Williams has been a humongous failure and will be out on loan somewhere next season I should imagine or before if this new NLN/NLS league happens.

We’ve splashed the cash and anything other than promotion would be a failure but we’re not at Salford levels - we’ve only payed fees for two players and we’ve still got a handful of players from our PT NLN team.

You’re wage bill must be incredible. Signing Reid, croasdale, Williams, Jennings, Rooney, hogan etc......Don’t you currently have 33 full time pro’s? Sure that’s what I saw on Twitter.
Croasdale was our second top earner on £950 a week and he’s a very good centre midfielder. Definitely too good for where we are at. It was always difficult to judge how good Williams was for us. He was one of our best players but we were shit so that wouldn’t be difficult. The same can be same for Walker who I thought was our best player. Struggled since he left us tho, thought he would have made the grade at Harrogate. He’s with you as well isn’t he?

Reid won’t be on much - he’s having the best season of his career but he’s mouched about this league on loan being pretty inconsistent. He’s probably our best value for money summer signing.

The others ones you mentioned alongside Maynard will be the top earners but we’ve gone down the long contract route to pay them less weekly and they are supplemented by young loanees and our best players from our NLN days.

Yeah he’s been pretty terrible though looked more like himself last night.

Definitely up there in terms of budget but we’re not at Salford levels.

Any good? Cover for yet another injury it seems.

If you need cover at any position other than GK and CB it's a great signing.

Quality all-round utility player. Runs all day. Ignore his small stature, even in a defensive role he frequently dominates matchups against much taller and stronger players.

One of my fav all time Barnet players. Love him.

Wait until you see him out jump someone a foot+ taller than him.

Have to ask, why was he never a permanent fixture in your side? I know he had injuries but I'm sure I used to see his name on the subs bench pretty much every week when you were playing. Sounds like a jack of all trades which obviously can be useful (Jon Nurse is one of my favourite Daggers and play striker, both wings and full back on the odd occasion). I just worry we've signed someone who doesn't really improve our first team??

Some of our more agricultural managers assumed he would be a passenger because of his size and build. He proved every single one of them wrong.

Although yes, his injury record isn't great. But he bossed games at L2 level for us and should start for you. He improves any squad at this level.

What would you say his best position is? I'm not quite sure what position we've signed him for. At a guess, I'd say possibly to play in a 3 man centre midfield but we have such a bloated squad it's hard to tell yet.
