We’ve signed Richie Bennett on loan from Stockport till the end of the season.

Definitely needed some help upfront, decent record at Barra, no great shakes everywhere else.

Despite being big, he's not a target man - I don't know if that's been his downfall at other clubs or not. Similar to Quigley and Andy Cook for us, capable on the ball and powering into the box with it at his feet.

That's basically what we need - someone for Armstrong to play off.

Seems Bloomfield has been frozen out then.

I can't say I was much of a fan of his. 4 goals in 31 told a story when I saw that stat. I imagine he could be a nuisance in a more direct set up though.

I quite liked him, thought he did a lot for the team beyond scoring however 4 in 31 still isn't good enough. His record at our place seems more out of character compared to his time at Barrow and Morecambe etc. I believe before he was frozen out he had the best record in the league for chances created and assists, he's defo no mug.

Think he will do well for you, Reid has looked like a completely different player without Bennett so I expect he will be able to bring out the best in Armstrong like with Reid.

There is certainly a lot of revisionist history going on with our messageboard calling him 'shit'. Cardwell in his limited games for us looks a better player, but so far he's struggling to complete 90 minutes or to play two games in a week. We in essence have no cover for Cardwell as its clear Madden/Reid will not work as a partnership.

A strange piece of business really, not really that keen on loaning players to promotion/play-off rivals. I'm more disappointed that we've lost the only real similar backup to Cardwell than Bennett himself.

We need to get players like him in the shop window I would say. He won't play for us next season so we need to get his name out there as he has another year on his contract.

We'll recall him before the play-offs (not to play him but to take him away from Hartlepool) if we're in them aswell.

Agree that we will recall him, it's not a disaster like some on our board are claiming it is but this is County and the cynic in me thinks it will be written in the stars that he will Rickie Lambert us out of the 3rd place spot or something!

We’ve sent RB Tyler golden and striker Inih Effiong back to Salford and Stevenage respectively.

Ironically Effiong might have actually been some use today with Wootton suspended, but for most of his loan spell he wasn’t great. Gave away the daftest injury time free kick you’ll ever see against KL, which they promptly scored from. Did coolly tuck away a late pen v Borehamwood though to complete a late comeback.

Golden is still here! It’s the other random loanee right back, Kenton Richardson, we’ve sent back.

Did he actually get any games?

One. Completely pointless signing.

Although it was at least a full game. Golden’s had half an hour in the FA Trophy and scored an own goal.

Weve made three attacking signings, Chris Sang, Gold Omotayo and Keanu Marsh Brown.

I know Omotayo was at Halifax and Yeovil and didn't do much at either place. I liked KMB at FGR, Barnet fans have some sort of issue with his mum.

He’s massive, I know that. Well, very tall. Seems a bit of an odd one tho with chessie already having quite a large compliment of strikers. Scored 5 in his last 7 - a cynic would say they literally signed him so he can’t play against them for KL today... but surely Chessie aren’t capable of such shithousery?

His mum is/was his agent (or in part responsible for this kind of thing). She caused a lot of problems around the club and signed up to our forum + made a fake Twitter account to ‘debate’ his performances with fans.

KMB is a very talented player but needs to be ‘loved’ to get performances from him. Can down tools if things don’t go his (or his mums) way.

Not really, we recalled him over a week before we played them because over an injury to our regular no1 - he played in the game the Saturday before we played Chessie

I remember reading things about his temperament in the past. Its a chance for him to possibly score a reasonably lucrative contract with us for next season I suppose, so everything for him to play for.

Sonny Carey is the one at King’s Lynn, one of the best opposition players I’ve seen all season. Really hoping he’s on our radar.

Omotayo was awful for us. Seemed to have a good knack of getting himself in the right places but missed several sitters. Incoming Omatayo screamer on Tuesday.

Sounds like KL fans are expecting him to go much higher than the NL

Wouldn’t be surprised - one of very few players you see at this level (Roberts being another) who just looks like they belong in a much higher league.

Denton is done for the season, Yussuf is a loan and not very good, Dinanga runs about a bit but doesn't seem to have enough in him to get goals at NL level, and Boden is out on loan at Torquay. I know we like a late pre match signing but I am not looking too much into the timing of the transfer.

Yep pretty much it, scored for fun a level below but looks lost up here, never looked like scoring for us.
