Our most highly rated youngster has gone to Leicester for a £12.50 and a bag of balls and cones, thanks EPPP. Still, good luck to the lad:

Heard 160k plus usual add ons.

Not a lot for a premier league club but that's the way this works unfortunately. If he stayed with us could have been brilliant and earnt us a lot more but far too early to say and could easily go the other way.

160k is at least more than initially mentioned from Leicester. I think 25k was the figure when it first surfaced that he was either going there or to Man Utd. However, 500k was the figure I'd read we were in line to get from them if he'd have gone there. Essentially, it's 160k for a kid that's never kicked a ball for us if true which isn't as bad as it could have been.

Based on what Notts County fans have said, he could do ok in the FL.
:fl: :fl: :fl: Oh sweet Jesus, I've heard it all now- how the fuck do you recommend a player for the Football League based on what someone else has said! Oh wait I forgot, he's a FOOTBALL GENIUS! This is the sort of shit he comes out with on our home forum. What has he actually said there, he's said NOTHING. :fl::fl::fl:

Do you want an honest Halifax opinion on him? He's so good I had to google him to check who he was. I still have no idea. Yet I remember James Riley, a great stopper centre half with the pace of a bull dozer who played for us in the Unibond First Division North 12 years ago, I remember Mark Bower, centre half and captain in the Unibond Premier, I remember Liam Hogan, a Rolls Royce of a centre back who saw us into the Conference Premier, I remember Marc Roberts, a mobile tower launching bombs into the oppo box with his elastic arms. If this guy was anything special, I'D remember him. :ds:

Solid full back defensively, not the most agile going forward these days but he is a reliable player and did a good job for us in his 4 years here.

Like Jamie Turley, we had to move him on to get some younger better players in, but Widdowson is a good signing for you, he is well liked here and rarely let us down.

Let’s not forget that Hull paid us 250k for 14 year old Jack Barlow, 10 years later he was in prison having never played a professional football game in his life.

Barnet slowly getting a decent team together. I have no idea about Kewell as a manager, wouldn’t be completely convinced by him, but on paper there’s some good pros in that squad

Damien McCrory, who’s been training with us to keep fit, has signed for Nuneaton. If he’s over the injury he had last season then it’s a ridiculous signing for that level.

Notts County & Halifax fans - we've signed a lad called Sam Graham from Sheff U on a two year deal. Big, fast Centre Back, 20 y/o. I believe he's served loan time with you chaps - any thoughts??
Good player, under used with us last season and recalled after playing for us 2019 season when he ruptured his achilles ending his season.
He's a bit raw but has all the tools to be comfortably be a league player, strong, quick, big. Just positioning reading the game needed and that can only come from experience .

You take a view on their previous posts and as three Notts fans who aren't unreasonable have all said roughly the same things about the same player it is probably a fair bet that Graham can do a job in the league.
You should maybe ask yourself why you want to entirely ignore every opinion from every poster on every player that gets mentioned.
Personally I'm interested in fans opinions of players they know, they're often bang on the money.

I think the most honest answer to this is - because he’s a dick head.

If any of you Spireite types are interested, Martin Smith is getting an absolute hammering from fans who went to the friendlies. One of the worst players to pull on the famous blue and white stripes apparently.

You’ve lost to Spennymoor, Gateshead and Blyth. Hasn’t everyone got a hammering?

Aye, it seems strange people want to pin several terrible pre season results on a new signing, whilst failing to mention the swiss cheese defence who've let in 7 against three NLN sides, we honestly have the mongiest fanbase going.

He's added nothing to the debate, all he did was recycle other peoples' opinion. He does it all the time on our own forum, he's always thinks he has something to say, types a lot of words and ends up saying nothing. The other idiot is no better. :ds:

That’s like people donating to a charity to help poverty stricken countries in Africa and using the money to instead buy a second hand washing machine
