We have someone called Drais on the bench today

I suspect it’s the same bloke we had in 19/20. Yannis Drais I think. He joined a couple of games before the season was abandoned, can’t really remember anything about him but don’t think anyone was too bothered when he left.

Mikael Ndjoli signed, free transfer. Anyone know anything about him?

Michael Jolley signed him for our shite L2 team last year, only never to feature once he got sacked. Can only assume he signed him because their names sound similar.

He scored twice for Kilmarnock in the SPL, which automatically means he will be absolutely bang average at National League level.

We’ve announced Scott Wagstaff, 31 year old midfielder. Looks an incredible signing on paper.
4 signings in 5 days, are we officially in Going For It territory?!

The type of midfielder we've been missing for a long time. On paper a very astute signing

We signed Ben Nugent from Barnet. Barnet fans seem happy he's gone, our fans are happy he's not a 11 stone 18 year old. Hopefully he'll regain the form he had at clubs prior to them.

What form? He has flopped everywhere which is why he keeps dropping down leagues.

Danny Rose signs for Darlo for a month. Hopefully they like him and he goes permanently at some point.

Hopefully if they want him then instead of charging a fee we just agree to take off any sell on fee they have for Sousa a bit like how Southampton did with Spurs for Gareth Bale when they signed Tommy Forecast from them.

We've signed Dion Pereira on a one month loan from Luton

Not played a massive amount for us but he’s been on the fringes of getting into the first team for a while now. Whenever I’ve seen him in cups and the like he’s looked really lively, very direct and wanted to take people on. He was going to get a loan in the EFL I think but then injuries hit and he was needed for cover.

Honestly, I think it’s a great signing for this level, could have seen him beginning to make appearances for us in the championship this season.

Every time a player in the NL signs a player from a higher division the other clubs fans say variations of the following:

‘Should tear it up at that level’
‘Best player in the NL’
‘What a signing that is for you lot’
‘Should be in our first team squad’

Five games later they’ve been kicked up in the air by the likes of Jamal Fyfield, Chris Bush or Byron Webster and never get seen again

Most fans of league 1 and 2 teams still think this is a pub league full of part time postmen and mechanics having a pint at half time. They don't know.

To be fair, I think we would know what it’s like at this level! :bg:

all horses for courses though isn’t it, some players just work at some clubs, some don’t.

Pereira is rated well ahead of Neufville who went to Yeovil last season and had a good loan from what I’ve heard so for whatever that worth.

Yo be fair though the Wednesday fans did big up Alex Hunt when he came here and so far they were spot on.

‘You’ve just won the title with that signing’

The condescending comments from league clubs like 'Aww ye he'll be good for you at that level' always look stupid when promoted teams kick their ass when they go up. It's a really competitive level of football isn't it the NL and players need to have the right physicality and mentality as well as ability. It gets on my tits when this league doesn't get the respect it deserves tbh

I think you’d have to go a long way down this league before you got to a team that would be relegated from League Two with their current side.

100% and solid teams but perennial NL also-rans like Woking, Bromley, Boreham Wood, Solihull, are top half in L2 minimum, I'm convinced
