As ever with Chesterfield signings, I’ll be keeping a close eye for when we pick him up in the bargain bucket in a few months’ time.
I thought you'd be a bit wary after a fee for Mitchell. One bitten twice shy and all that.

Erm, he was very good against Tamworth I guess. Taylor has worked out though, probably been our best player in recent weeks.

Glad Taylor is working out, he was never a bad player, his main issue with us was fitness. Rowe just saw an opportunity to swap for Miller and wanted to do it. Taylor less likely to grab someone by a throat because they did a tackle he didn't like in the 97th minute certainly

Tom Blair from Eastleigh. Didn't feature there much, but he's the kind of player the manager likes to sign - young and cheap - and, tbf, Stock's doing a fair job of getting other people's cast-offs to do better for us.

They might already have someone to take pens ;)

You might be on to a loser with that theory chief. Pretty sure KT has a grand total of *checks notes* four penalties this season...which would still leave him as top scorer in the division even if someone else took them?

So you don't know banter when you see it then ;)

I'm jealous anyway. It would take us about 5 years to get 4 pens. We've yet to have one all season.

He is highly rated by the club staff and coaches here, but hasn't really performed too well when given his chances. Having said that, he clearly has talent and made his debut for us when he was only 16 in the FA Trophy 3 years ago now.

One of those modern day attacking full backs and is quite quick, but badly needs to improve his defensive awareness. The step down should help his developement. Hope he does well.

Quick look at the replies on Twitter from Bristol City fans. A few flame emojis, ‘look after him’, ‘yous are going up now’. Classic stuff.
Haha ever since you’ve picked up on this I take great joy in reading them.

No idea what he’s going to be like but the fact he’s in the fringes of the first team gives me hope. We’ve had 3 loanees from Bristol City in the past couple of seasons and 2 of those have been excellent. One of them however, was one of the worst I’ve seen in a Grimsby shirt.

He scored 7 in 12 two levels below this one don't you know, far to good non league, we will obviously be 10 points clear when he goes back in Jan now

Just to balance it out why took a young striker from Bristol city last year with the same fanfare and he was rubbish.

I dread to think how bad he was given that you lot rated Cardwell
We thought Cardwell did a job and could be a decent back-up option but I know you struggle to get your head round a young player who wasn’t good for you being anything other than terrible for the rest of his career.
