QUOTE="Harrier94, post: 173970, member: 275"]We've signed Lathaniel Rowe-Turner. DSL thoughts on him?[/QUOTE]
In his initial loan from Luton Rowe-Turner was impressive and was a big part of our rise to 2nd place in the league that season. But last season he was a completely different player. He seemed to have lost a yard conceded a lot of penalties and was liable to a big mistake.

A very solid defender on his day but unfortunate "that day is all too rare. Certainly a mid table defender.

Matt Hill signs 6 month extension. Really good signing; only got a 6 month because he has just come back from a serious injury and is 34. However, at this level he should be more than decent and he's a model pro too. Made up with this to be honest.

We've signed Jake Caprice and re-signed Chris Arthur.

I'd have kept Caprice here, but not played him as a RB and tried him as a winger.

Decent start here but was dropped after 3 or 4 absolute nightmare games, came back in and did well. Initially struggled against anyone with any sort of strength but I think it just took him a while to get up to speed with first team football.

Decent going forward, pretty quick, not great defensively and certainly not someone that'll get stuck in or put their head in where it hurts, which narked me a little bit. Seemed to be one of those fancy full backs that doesn't like to get his shorts dirty.

Interesting, with Arthur re-signing perhaps we might be going with wing backs next season as it seems both are better going forward than defensively.

I liked Caprice, I would have offered him a contract, definitely better going forward than defending and has a trick or two and has pace. Certainly not a bad signing at all.

3-5-2 next season then may be?

Irony at its best this morning as we have announced the Signing of Sam Berry from Welling who scored Welling second in their vital 2-1 win v Wrexham last season which helped to relegate us!
Think he can be very useful at Conference North level so happy with that!

We've signed Jack Barthram, a right back released by Swindon. GJ says its a real coup, and if GJ is happy then so am I. Another nail in Lee Vaughan's coffin though.

Vaughan would have been fine down here as your RB this season.

From what we've seen of Lee Vaughan its hard to believe he'd be fine in any league. Constantly out of position. We had Durell Berry at the end of the season and he was a vast improvement on him.

What's happened with Craig Braham-Barrett on the other flank, Steve? He was the best attacking full-back I saw all season at PP last year.

He's been released, and not before time. Will go down as one of our worst ever players. The guy has no desire whatsoever. Wouldn't wish him on any club.

You'll also get infuriated by his constant need to do umpteen step-overs and one of those running Cruyff type turns, which takes him infield into a load of players who end up tackling him.

It was nailed on he was going to Kiddy as soon as he left us in my opinion. Joe Clarke will be absolutly fine if played as an attacking midfielder running at players and moving into the box. He can't pass though so never ever play him as a holding defensive midfielder. He can't do it, which for some reason Wilkin didn't realise last season

We've signed Jack Sampson following his release from Morecambe in our least surprising deal of the summer. Spent last few weeks of season with us on loan, didn't pull up any trees IMO.

Tristan Plummer has left despite agreeing terms on a new contract for family reasons. Dissapointing but understandable I guess.

Luke Rooney joins Crawley. Interesting one that.

Looked lively in his first game with us then didn't really look too arsed. Stormed off before our last game of the season too when he was told he wasn't in our plans. Thought he would have gone to another Club in this league or the Prem at a push... not the Football League!

Haha, football is all a game of opinions. Bar Turnbull and Pilkington, this is the signing I've been most pleased with all summer. He's the kind of unexciting target man that our fans have never seemed to appreciate during our time in the league. We haven't had a target man since we got relegated a few years ago and subsequently have always struggled away at big physical teams like Nuneaton, Dartford, Southport etc. I think this extra dimension could see us win a lot more of those games now. Also, having a player like this gives the opportunity finally I would say for Holroyd (or even Dennis) to grab a lot of goals playing off him.

EDIT - he also scored 2 goals in 3 starts for a team that couldn't score for toffee, including a MOTM winning solo performance at Halifax, so it's a bit harsh to say he didn't pull up any trees!

Hope Joe does well at Kiddy. Hard worker. Nice lad. Talented just struggles to get a good run of form. Normally scores a few cracking goals a season

Great signing for us. Hopefully can help us fight off relegation as well. Still two more signings to be announced in the next few days
