Torquay have signed right back Ben Wynter, previous of Hampton & Richmond and Bromley and according to the local rag, Samir Nabi ex Carlisle is also expected to sign. Anyone able to give any info on them?

Excellent signing. Hartlepool Going For It™ then, confirmed.

He’s a absolute liability, even at this level.

Tosser too, his career is only heading one way from now on I reckon.

Sounds like a shithouse on and off the pitch, needed one of those since Tommy Widdrington.

He’s not really a midfielder in that mould at all. He gets loads of bookings and red cards (or at least used to) but they’re almost all for stuff like dissent and violent conduct. He can’t really tackle (bar the odd crazy two footer) and has no positional discipline at all, so is a bit of a luxury player.

But, if you’ve got the team set up around him (he needs to play in a three with two defensive players really), he can be really good. Creative, skilful and scores goals.

This is all based on his first spell really, we signed him half way through last season but he was never fit and preoccupied with proving that he could go six months without getting sent off, so didn’t really do much.

Decent guy by all accounts, though, if a bit eccentric. Hope he settles down with a move back home.

Maybe read a bit negatively from me, was just saying that he’s really not a defensive, tough tackling type. If he’s fit and settled, as he was at FGR, he’ll be one of the best players in the league.

Pools had a great track record last season of signing former conference greats and turning them into walking heaps of manure. This trend is continuing this year.

Hopefully on this occasion, manure turns into Patrick Viera.

You may be down the wrong end of the table but there will be a few struggling next season.

Barrow,Gateshead and Solihull could fill 3 of the bottom 4. Then you have Braintree,Eastleigh and Havant/Harrogate who may struggle. Be positive. A ball hasnt be kicked yet

Havant will be fine.

Very good player. Gutted he’s leaving, same with Finley. Feeling nervous about this season already

Barrow have signed John Rooney. Always seemed a decent player, if not a little unfit?

Certainly chips in with goals and is pretty neat and tidy on the ball. Can be a frustrating watch and is a bit of a luxury though.

Too lightweight to be part of a middle two and if you play him further forward he'll end up dilly-dallying doing needless pirouettes dropping deep. Was best for us on the left cutting inside.

So our big announcement this morning is the signing of forward Mike Fondop-Talom on a two-year deal..
Finished the season with Halifax where he scored 4 in 10; and was also at Guiseley for a few months earlier this season
Thoughts Halifax/Guiseley fans?

My thoughts are that your fans’ reactions on twitter are an embarrassment. Very entitled and stubborn when they haven’t seen him play. The attitude that he’s from Halifax so he must be bad is ridiculous. In truth he was quite good for us, would have liked to see him sign permanently although as backup to Southwell. Good player who is a handful. Still young and has potential but is still very raw. Would have thought a team aiming for promotion would go for a more established player but I’m in no doubt he’ll score double figures for you at least. Better than the same shite you sign season upon season like Boden

From his time with us he'll give you three good performances in every ten. When he's on it he's a beast when he's not it's like watching a circus clown.
