*sigh* Yet again, we lost and yet again, I probably wouldn't make any changes bar 1: STOP FUCKING STARTING ADAM KING DAVIS YOU DELUDED FUCK! *breathes deeply*

Anyway, yeah, other than that 1 change for anyone else in his place, I'd say go with the same again. We did fine against Shrewsbury and didn't deserve to lose. Yes, nobody wants to hear hard luck stories, but for me, we need to make a separation here. Yes, this group of Alex players aren't very good. But they are trying. They are giving their all most weeks and thats all I can ask for. They are just being held back by a pair of morons who call themselves coaches, who simply aren't doing their jobs. I feel for the players.

As for Coventry, they are stuttering a bit at the moment, which is to be expected. But they'll have no problem winning this one. Coventry fans will no doubt roll their eyes and groan I expect. But they will and I'll tell you why. We as a team as shite defensively. We sit off the opposition and are wide open when teams attack us. Which means the likes of Armstrong, Maddison and co will have a field day in this one. Yes, we could raise our game and maybe give a good account of ourselves, but as long as Coventry have the quality to convert the 3-4 great chances we'll give them(which they should do), they should win this one.

Comfy away win in this one, 3-1 Coventry. Bringing the full 1,600 Coventry fans?

I can see this being another Peterborough. 5-0 Coventry. Davis to come up with more regurgitated shite about budget difference between us and Coventry making it hard for us to compete despite Burton Albion and Walsall being at the top of the league. Fans on that Chronicle page saying we can't judge our results against top sides if we're thrashed despite already gaining 1 point out of 6 in relegation battles and that their lord and saviour Steve Davis will eventually get it right like he always has. Just the generic no-ambition twaddle that riddles portions of the fanbase, the management, the board, the local media and the exiled fans who don't go but patronise season ticket holders for voicing their disgust with Lord Davis and his tactics.

I'm sick of seeing a side that gives players like Ollie Turton a spot in the team without fail every week. That right hand side of Ollie Turton and Adam King on Monday was a nightmare and I reckon the Year 7s at a local high school would've relished playing against two of the most powder-puff Crewe players I've ever seen. It's inevitable King's loan will be renewed for the season as per the failing George Evans was two seasons ago because just like our manager, the unambitious Crewe fans in the fanbase will use their favourite line "who can we bring in that's any better?". Well why don't we try something different instead of meekly surrendering our way down the leagues.

I can't fault the effort of the players, I genuinely think Turton and King try very hard and as people I'm sure they're good lads. But seek an alternative club lads because you just don't have the mentality or ability to play for this football club no matter how hard you try. King just reminds me of a younger Turton and the awful Liam Nolan when we put them in midfield, he lacks basic intelligence and instinct, his off the ball play and tackling is an embarrassment and regularly it leaves us exposed.

Steve Davis warrants the sack for his specialism in continuous failure in general and a failure to improve the midfield in particular but he will more than likely be managing us until we're in a basement battle in the league below next season at the very least because our deluded minority of fans will go all #WCWBITAB? again. I can just see us now when we're 24th in League Two this time next season and these same fans will come up with the line "Steve Davis has vital experience in relegation battles, we must keep him in order to have a chance of staying in the Football League.". As Timey said in a post on the Shrewsbury match thread, it's embarrassing how Rob Page is more likely to get the sack than Steve Davis when Page is performing to expectations of mid table (in-line with the rest of the divisions budget and contrary to some Vale fans and Smurthwaite's opinions) and Davis has consistently failed for three long years where he'd have been sacked from any other club by now.

Another Tranmere waiting to happen we are, and like that Shaun Whalley winner for Shrewsbury on Monday, we can all see it coming, except the delusional Crewe fans amongst the fanbase who think Davis will eventually get it right...

Can I still roll my eyes even though we should win this and say " oh no it's bloody Crewe"

If we were top of the Prem and Crewe were 92nd I still wouldn't put money beating them.
To me it seems every Crewe player raises his game by 200% every time they face us.
Last time they had a centre forward ,can't think of his name, who was described by their own fans as absolute shite yet when he played at the Ricoh he played like bloody Ronaldo, that's the fat Brazilian one whose retired.
This forward I think has hardly played since but he was great on that night, yet Davis subbed him far too early and let us off the hook
I'm going for a hard fought draw at best as I roll my eyes once again

Another game we SHOULD be winning. The problem is, we aren't winning these 'easier' games. This is a good opportunity for us to get back on track, but unfortunately I have a bad feeling again.

Looking forward to it, another big crowd, the 600 on the gate will be sold so the same number of Sky Blue Army will be there as the JPT night.

Coventry should win. But we seem to do well vs them so don't put money on Coventry gentlemen.

Tony Mowbray has a touchline ban for this one. Absolutely pathetic following the performance of their officials in recent weeks.

You're welcome Coventry. We are shite, have been for the last couple of seasons, how we beat you in that time is unbelievable. That is the real Davis's Crewe Alex.

Bow down to me I'm an oracle.

But seriously what a gutless display, that right side of King and Turton got burned all day. Guthrie, Fox, Jones also failed to pull their weight all day. Coventry took their foot off the gas second half and still comfortably outclassed us.

I want to go on another rant but I'm wasting my oxygen, we're stuck with these weaklings and our abysmal manager for what seems like an eternity now. So roll on League Two later in the year where Davis is still manager, Captain Davis Jnr is in the treatment room on £1500 a week and Ollie Turton is a shoe in starter at RB every week. And we'll still be bottom, struggling to compete with the awesome mights of Accrington and Morecambe. Can't wait.

Morecambe'll be a nice seaside trip.
We can get some candyfloss maybe.

That squad Davis has assembled looks non league from the outside looking in. No one coming up through the youth system too?

Play with total fear and a lack of fight. It's so bloody obvious it's Davis' fault. Saunders and Cooper and many of the youths before them are getting no time to develop under Davis. The midfield is a shambles after we let Grant go when 90% of the fans wanted us to keep him. We have no natural fullbacks in the side hence they're easily exploited by intelligent football teams. We don't play attacking football. I'm so convinced another manager, whilst not keeping us up, could get more out of the team attacking and confidence wise. But Davis won't leave unless the Academy's future is under threat.

Football club is a joke.

Happy days.

As I said a few weeks back when I was moaning, we need to start battering teams when we are on top and that is what we did today. The only real criticism I have is that we sat back in the second half and almost conceded a few. But, it is nice to be able to moan about not scoring enough after a 5-0 win!

Crewe were really poor, probably the worst side I have seen since coming down to League
One including worse than our shambles last season. It is shame really, I was listening to the phone in on Radio Stoke after the game and the club seems to be in a bit of a mess. For years they have produced talent which has been earning them the money to survive and do well at a reasonable level, but with the way football is at the moment, they just cannot compete with the big boys near by.

Very happy for us, for the first time for many, many years, it really seems like we are going places. It is great to be able to have something to cheer about!

Not sure what was worse, again, the performance or Davis' interview. Both a fucking disgrace. And still some are trying to justify it.

Didn't Davis say something along the lines of "take away the goals and we didn't play too badly"

Guys had two and a half seasons of mainly struggle. Maybe relegation is needed to give a chance of getting rid of him.
