Stoke look absolutely shit, probably only saved by Sunderland from being the worst team in the league right now. Nothing is working for them, which is surprising considering the personel they have at their disposal.

Would still think that Hughes can turn it around to safe 11-14 finish though.

4-0. I take back what I said, Stoke are worse than Sunderland at the moment.

Shay Given is basically a pub team keeper these days, no wonder they've been pumped 4-0 in nearly every game.

Good goal from Arnautovic, Stoke's first in three full games. Finished 4-1 to Palace.

What has happened to Stoke this season? Shipping goals for fun and toothless going forward, on paper their squad should be pushing for top 7 not propping up the league being pasted every week. It's still only early days but it's alarming for them, they really need to shithouse a 1-0 win to get them some confidence going. Thought Palace were impressive though, excellent out wide can see both Zaha and Townsend coming into England contention if they carry on like this. Looking much improved than what we saw at the start of the season.

The problem for Stoke is that all of these top players they have really don't want to be there and only signed to try and put their names in the 'shop window'. They are now realising that no other clubs are interested in them and that the reality is Stoke is where they might be for a while yet and their enthusiasm is waning and that is showing on the pitch. On top of that, their rock at centre half, is seemingly struggling to rediscover his pre-injury form and despite knowing their No.1 will be out for months they failed to react in the transfer window except to bring in a goalkeeper who had been sitting on Derby's bench and persisting with a 40 year old keeper whose career should have ended years ago. Hughes is on borrowed time with the Stoke forum abuzz with 'who shall we try and get in to get us out of this mess' threads - if they lose against their ex boss next weekend then that will be it for Hughes.

From my point of view I hope they stick with Hughes as it is only fair to football that he is given a chance to rid the PL of such a club as Stoke City :D

As an aside to that, I thought Palace actually looked decent for the most part although Flamini's entrance seemed to be detrimental to their performance. Benteke looks like he's got his mojo back again and I hope Big Sam was watching today because Andros Townsend was superb and is proof that good old fashioned wing play is not quite dead and buried just yet

Well Pards has a couple of fair fixtures to get himself all smug before Koeman wipes the floor with him.
