T'Barnsleh vs Wolves

Not sure what to make of this game. Barnsley smashed us at Molineux, but lucky for us half their team has been sold since that meeting.

Lambert has made us hard to beat since taking over, and signing Costa for 13m is a big confidence boost for everyone connected to the club. Sadly Ivan Cavaliero has picked up an injury and will be out for about a month. Ikeme is also suspended for 1 more game.

Burgoyne

Iorfa - Batth - Stearman - Doherty

Edwards - Price

Costa - Weimann - Mason

Bodvarsson
Prediction 0-4, time for revenge :tw:

Very wary of tonights game. With Hourihane/Bree/Winnall gone, we did well to beat Rotherham on Saturday but I feel this will be a bigger test and Wolves will be in buoyant mood having beaten Liverpool at Anfield and secured Costa for probably treble the amount we paid for our entire team. Be interesting to see how Matty James and Alex Mowatt do should they get a game, some big boots to fill.

Without our recent departures and Wolves' fortunes in the last few days I'd have been pretty confident, but I don't think a point would be disastrous for us tonight.

No out and out striker in the line-up and 17 year old Callum Evans making his full debut at left back.

Edit: 21 year old. Still only a sub appearance so far though.

Hadn't seen the line-up, bloody hell what are we doing without Bradshaw/Armstrong up top?

Sounds like crap defending for the goal and we've missed a couple of good chances since. Would be happy with a point from here.

And again, from another set piece. Amateur. Enjoy the win Wolves, who knows might even be 4-0 or more.

Conor Ronan looks quality whenever he plays. 2 assists already tonight, another off the production line. Rejecting 1m from Man City when he was 16 is looking a good decision now.

Mowatt you stupid c***

Can't be bothered listening to this anymore. A night when everything's gone wrong for us and everything right for Wolves. Will check later in the hope that it's not a cricket score.

Well not 0-4 but will take a solid 1-3 all dag long. Good way to top off a fantastic couple of days.

Seems like we were better in the second half and weren't disgraced. Not a shock result by any means, just a bad day at the office against a team in buoyant mood. Still a shame as we'd have gone 6th with a win.

I'm just putting this one down to a bad day at the office. Two conceded from set pieces, Mowatt sent off and Heckingbottom sent to the stands.

I suppose Wolves owed us.

That challenge was so odd I am almost willing to give him the benefit of doubt that it wasn't horrible, but just strange, he gets so high and so far off the ground he can only surely have totally miss judged something.
