I was listening to some talk-show the other day (can't recall which one) and they were discussing the possibility of a mini-competition where the best players from the top leagues joined forces to take on similar teams from around Europe.

There is obviously more chance of Jonny missing an Everton game or Mourinho asking Arsene Wenger to be one of his kids godparents than this actually happening, but it would be interesting to see who you'd have in your team if you were asked to choose a team to represent the PL.

The only stipulations they had was that you could only have one player from each team. You'd also need a manager who doesn't manage one of his players too.

It got me thinking, and if it can generate some debate then it's a worthy topic

It's tougher than it seems

I reckon the Premier League would win this despite the top sides not being at the level of Bayern, Barca, Real, and PSG.

De Gea
Clyne - Williams - Verthongen - Amavi
Cabaye - Matic
Mahrez - Payet - Alexis
Aguero

Manager: Koeman

I went with this:

Lloris
Coleman - Williams - Dann - Bertrand
Carrick - Sissoko
Payet - Coutinho - Sanchez
Aguero

Manager: Mourinho
