"Livermore made his first senior appearance for England in a 2–1 win against Italy on 15 August 2012, coming on as a substitute in the second half for Frank Lampard."

Hull City star Jake Livermore has tested positive for cocaine after taking a random drugs test.

The midfielder, who has one cap for England, signed for Hull in the summer in a deal worth £6million and is tipped to have a bright future.

However, reports say he’s been suspended by the club after the positive test, which occurred after the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last month.

The test was carried out at random, and comes as a huge blow to Hull as they battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Livermore has widely been criticised in recent months for a string of poor performances.

Poor lad, he just wants to have a better night out and he's gonna be banned for it. Life is so unfair.
