So as we head towards the Euro's and finally a decent showing by English talent in the league

How would a likely England starting line up do against a non-english X1. And who would be your starting players for each team

For me:
Hart
Clyne Smalling Cahill Rose
Dier Wilshere
Vardy Alli Sterling
Kane

De Gea
Bellerin Kompany Alderweireld Monreal
Kante
Payet Coutinho
Mahrez Aguero De Bruyne

Probably a bit attacking at the bttom

I think England's team has less star talent, but more balance. Wanted to put Ozil in but couldn't find room

You are all welcome to select a team but you'd be wrong

If you're playing Vardy as a winger you might as well leave him out. You'd want him up front with Kane stretching the opposition defence, not just using his pace to get down the wide areas.

Yeah I would probably have it as a 4-2-2-2 type shape.

I'd want the front 4 to be fairly fluid

Countiho should be removed as he's probably been on the snifter all season.

Obviously more talent in the foreign team.
You've made it very unbalanced though, which could make them lose
Replace Coutinho with Dembele and it's a no contest

Johnny is right - Liverpool players should not be eligible with the massive drug abuse scandal hanging over the club.

I'd play that. 4-4-2, plenty of balance, power and pace. All good footballers, all with their strengths.

VS.

---------------------De Gea
Bellerin-----Koscielny---Kompany---Monreal
---------------Kante----Fernando
---De Bruyne-----Ozil--------Mahrez-------

Gibbs the best English LB in the league? Wilshere a left winger? Is this some sort of sick joke?

---------------------De Gea
Bellerin-----Koscielny---Monreal------Kolarov
David Silva------De Bruyne------Ozil
Lukaku----------Aguero-----Sanchez

Substitutes: Oscar, Kompany, Martial.

Kolarov is a left footer, very effective with his crosses but underused by Pellegrini.
Martial again, would do better under a different manager.

--------------------Hart
Clyne----Smalling---Stones----Gibbs
Millner---Alli------Wilshere--
A Carroll----Vardy---Kane-----

Substitutes: Dier, J Defoe, Cahill.

No joke at all mon ami.
Wilshere on the left of a 4-4-2 would be pretty decent, beckham-esque even. He Balances out sterling and England aren't good enough to have him in the middle of 4 man midfield. Gibbs is the best English LB, he's just playing behind the best lb in the league this season in Nacho Monreal.

Baines is past it. But Giggs isn't the best English LB.

Hart
Clyne - Smalling - Reid - Cresswell
Milner - Dier - Alli
Rooney
Sturridge - Kane

Aguero
Payet - De Bruyne - Mahrez
Fernandinho - Dembele
Monreal - Alderweireld - Kompany - Bellerin
De Gea

I don't think there's a single person on the planet that would argue against that one fella. Except maybe Toddles.

The irony of your name being Balance considering your foreign XI is astounding. That team would get ripped to shreds, far too attacking. Monreal is a left back if I am not mistaken also. Carroll and Kane on the wings for the England XI??? You're nuts. And if it was more of a suggestion of a three striker system, you're even more nuts.

Three of the best strikers in England in a 433 system is nuts? And you're talking about irony?

As would all of Manchester United's promising players tbh.

It's nuts because Andy Carroll, the biggest aerial threat in the team, is on the wing! And Kane, another massive aerial threat, is also on the wing!
So why is he at CB then!?

Guys relax, it's just a hypothetical.

I put three of England's best strikers up forward. Players can rotate in any position and up forward and be where they want to be. You guys are acting as if I'm the actual England manager.

Maybe he's talking about BBC Breakfast presenter Susannah Reid. I believe she is eligible for England.
