Thought we might have sneaked it but not to be.............Spurs look decent on the ball although we let them have it for the most part. Spurs themselves say that was the best they have played in the first half this season, so even though defensively we have been shite this season happy to go in 1-1.
Besic came on and changed the game for ourselves but was worried Spurs could get another. Seeing as Spurs are considered top 4 team they did let us over run them in the last 20 mins which should worry them.
Semi-Final next up v City........could be 4-4 in the first leg alone.
The first half was very nice, good goal chances and a beautiful goal from Lennon, and despite Spurs slowed down a bit after Everton's goal the tie came with a great projected ball from Alderweireld to Alli's goal. But one thing I've been repairing about Spurs is that in many matches they start really well but they seem to not keep the same strenght in the end. And that's what happened at second half, where Everton had very good shots to goal and just didn't expand the score because of great saves from Lloris, mainly the one on Besic's shot that was fantastic.
