Home to Bowers and Pitsea for us, who're Step 7, one below National League North/South I think.

Gillingham away for the 2nd time this season after the league cup tie. Then we play them away in the league later in November. Marvellous.

Northampton away isn’t disastrous, should take a decent number and at least it’s winnable. With us being a league up at the moment I’d be annoyed to go out.

After Man City at home last season we're due shit draws for the next 5 years or so - cue fucking Gillingham away.

I'm sure their fans are just as elated.

Another away tie for us although it’s only down the road at Scunthorpe

Swindon at home, this season really needs cancelling. Might start eating bats.

Torquay or Havant & Waterlooville at home.

There will be more away fans than home.

Carshalton for us young'uns ;)
Remember both and a few others, Altrincham, Stafford, North Ferriby, Kettering and the biggest bunch of chancers that beat us in the cup who got very lucky a few years ago, arsenal

Oldham at home. Probably the only side that have had a more depressing last 15 years than us. Dull but winable with our second string side

Bristol Rovers at home. Nice that it is at home but Bristol Rovers again, we seem to play them every year so it would have been nice to get somebody different for a change.

Doesn't seem to be too much interest in our game at the weekend, ticket sales seem quite slow albeit it'll probably be made pay on the day. Not sure how many they'll bring, they average about 200 for their home games but you'd expect lots of family and friends in the away end.

Home to Harrow Borough. We don't have a big squad so likely to be a strong line-up. Next Saturday's league game at Wycombe is likely to be postponed anyway so no need to rest too many.

Harrow are 7th tier so should be fun. They've already despatched Ramsgate, Welling, Marlow and Chelmsford.

Heading to Crewe on Saturday. Both teams profess to play tippy tappy football out from the back so could be entertaining or totally tedious.

Have Crewe sold off most of their star players? I'm assuming this is why they are struggling this season?

Yes were pretty much un recognisable from the teams you've played in the last few years. Were absolutely useless and I fully expect you to win at a canter to be honest, I don't expect it to be even competitive.

Such is the apathy at the moment you won't be far off having more fans at the game than us. I'd be shocked if more than 1500 Crewe fans turn up, I'm expecting a papa John trophy type crowd in the home stands.

Not sure if there’s any Accy fans posting in this section or not but how are they looking this season? Always had a high level of respect for the job that John Coleman has done there and they seem to develop some very decent players.

Looking forward to seeing how we can measure up in this one even if obviously it’s not exactly the draw either of us were hoping to get beforehand.

They weren’t great last weekend to be honest and if we’d had more about us up front we’d have easily beaten them. However they’re way above us in the league so maybe that was just a bad day at the office.

We have Wednesday away, a fixture neither team can be happy with. Is being televised live at 12.15 on Sunday. Annoyingly I have a work zoom with people in the Far East starting at 12.30. I’m chairing, it may be a shorter meeting than they were expecting!

I suspect Lowe will play a fairly strong side, but I do expect him to start Randell in CM rather than Houghton and maybe Garrick will start too.
