Not exactly theme but Greendale is the only film I've been to where the audience spontaneously applaude at the closing credits.

Hans Zimmer overpowering everything on screen with noise once again eh. Interstellar was notorious for it!

Having said that, I do have the soundtrack to Gladiator and some pieces of Inception on hand myself!

Fairly forgettable movie - though I liked it - but the soundtrack is superb.

Was watching the last 30 mins of The Day The Earth Stood Still (the good one!) and had forgotten just how brilliant the score was. Just looked it up and of course it just had to have been composed by the legendary Bernard Herrmann which explains it. The final minute is sheer perfection.

The inimitable John Carpenter from Assault on Precinct 13

Carpenter once again with Escape From New York; one of those films I watched endlessly as a kid.

Another annoyingly catchy and subliminal piece from Clint Mansell in the weird, strange and wonderful film Moon.

When I used to read the NME, Clint Mansell's group Pop Will Eat Itself were the subject of fairly regular derision by the paper. Funny how things turn out.
