Final week of league season upon us and unbelievably some teams have two matches. [F#ck Sky Sport]
Relegation has already been decided but the promotion battle is still VERY active.
Saturday will decide if Exeter or FGR are this seasons champions and the third auto-promotion spot.
Northampton are in poll position but have an away match.
Bristol Rovers have a home match against out-of-form Scunthorpe and could perhaps make all three autos a West Country trio.
And of course Mansfield must be included in equation with two games this week.

I'll post stats after tomorrows games.

Set up to be a humdinger of a week! Nuts that with 6 days of the season left Vale could be promoted this time next week or have missed out on the play offs altogether (and everything in between!) same position for Mansfield as well with both having tough games and Mansfield a poor goal difference, defeats for either tomorrow would put massive pressure on to make the play offs.

Huge home crowd tomorrow and a second chance at it with it back in our own hands, hoping after looking knackered last week the 9 days rest and return to fitness of James Gibbons and Tom Pett will see a big performance tomorrow to take us to Exeter in poll position.

Well we're beating Vale hands down, so I suppose it depends on the other teams around them if they'll manage to make the PO's or not. I expect them to win tomorrow, but I'll be flying over the Atlantic mid-flight.

I mean you're definitely favourites but it's not like we're going to the Etihad to get a win. Every team is shite at this level, some are just less shite than others. If we're absolutely bang at it we can beat anyone.

Small matter of Newport first though.

Home to Carlisle. I can only echo the above sentiments - thank fuck it’s the last game.

Hugely disappointing season. Anyway, moving on to the fixture…just the SEVEN ex-City players in their squad. All of whom seem to hate our club. This is largely because they’re all absolutely dogshit and were verbally abused once upon a time. Usual shit….

Kudos to Carlisle - bringing circa 1,500 down for a nothing game. Could see another 17,000+ attendance.

Should be a great atmosphere and occasion on Saturday, would love a win but a draw could be enough to. One of those listening to transistor radio afternoons ahead.
Out celebrating in Exeter later regardless. Watch out Timepiece

We’ve had some massive away performances and results this season (a rarity for Vale!) so would need one more and you’d hope with our need we’d be right at it but as said pointless thinking about that until Newport is done as it may be irrelevant. A draw tomorrow pretty much makes it a dead rubber for us with play offs secure but needing a miracle set of results to go up.

Family stuff on so won't be able to watch the match, but I'll be sneaking looks at the scores whenever possible. Should be a good game. Confident in our ability to beat anyone, but hoping Mansfield will do us a favour so our result doesn't matter much.

You can't beat us, bloody hell don't be so daft. You mention the Etihad but we've got more points in 2022 than any other club in the top 4 leagues. You won't even draw against us. It'll be 3-0 I expect, and that'll only be cause we take the foot off the gas after the third goal.

We drew with you 0-0 about 4 weeks ago and probably could have nicked it. You only just scraped past Barrow the other night.

You've got more points than any other team in 2022 but you're playing shite teams every week. It's hardly an achievement.

It's not the foregone conclusion you seem to think. Every team in this league has weaknesses and any team can beat any other on a given day.

using us as an example isn't a good look for you... Vale edged past us not long ago and it took a 88th min winner for you to win 2-1... the same score Exeter won by.

I wasn't being derogatory. I was using you as an example that they don't flatten teams 3 or 4 nil every week.

Bradford away. Glad to get this season over with but it’ll be good to take a decent following to show our appreciation to Paul Simpson for the miracle that he produced to get us safe.

I think it’s only really Gibson and Mellor that have beef with Bradford. Don’t really know why, but I agree on Mellor being shit. Patrick I don’t think hates Bradford, just seems to react to stick he gets on socials from fans. From what I’ve seen, Devitt, Riley, Devine and Guy don’t have hatred or at least don’t express it.

Bradford had a good win yesterday, but that being said I can’t see anything other than a comfortable Carlisle United win.

Bradford City 0-4 Carlisle United

Haha, you're so clueless it's hilarious. Egg on your face in 6 days. 3-0 easiest win of the year.

5-1 City. End the season with a decent home win. Should be beating these. No doubt Patrick and Gibson will raise their games. Can't wait for Gibon's dad to be all over the City Twitter hashtag after the game - the creepy twat.

Patrick’s form has dipped over the last few games. He’s been good and played every minute since January. Think it’s catching up with him. Doubt he’ll raise his game, think he badly needs the summer break.

Somehow, we’ve sold 3,660 tickets for Walsall. Don’t know where the extra 160 came from.

Already won 1-2 at the Bescot in the FA Cup and beat them 5-0 at home. Been better away from home all season and Walsall have nothing to play for. What could go wrong!

As Cas said Gibsons dad is a creepy twat used to say all sorts of weird shit on our Twitter, like watch Rahics babies smash teams and stuff even though Rahic was responsible for our downfall and he knew how much the fans hated Rahic, it’s like he was baiting the fans because the club didn’t pick him. Gibson was nothing more than a bench boy really. Mellor was crap, can’t remember fans been against him though, don’t even think he uses social media. Patrick was liked at first, unfortunately he decided to put lol on Twitter after we’d lost 5-0 to Portsmouth in one of the clubs most embarrassing displays in one of our worst ever seasons, it was totally unprofessional and ruined the fan’s relationship with him. The rest you’ve mentioned no fan has an issue with, Devine is also one of our own and we were desperate for him to succeed but he just wasn’t good enough. The others were unlucky with injuries. Can see a draw to see our the season, a regular trend of ours and a fitting way to end a terrible season.

Are many Stags fans gonna stay behind and watch us lift the trophy?
