Our records against the top half and bottom half of teams below, which explains the title.

First of two home games in a week, don't really care how the game goes would just like to see a good team selection and go from there.

Fielding
Matthews, Flint, Moore, Magnusson;
Pack,
Reid, O'Neil;
Paterson, Tomlin,
Abraham.
4-3-3 with Paterson and Tomlin given free roles in behind. Get Magnusson out at left back where he plays for country and get Taylor Moore in. Wouldn't mind O'Dowda or Brownhill being chucked into the mix either. Or Engvall. I just want some entertainment tomorrow night...

Like the look of that. Reid should definitely start, I thought he did really well on saturday. Smith absolutely not up to standard at the moment. I hope its a fitness issue...

We should be winning our home games against other mid table sides but Brentford can be fast and dangerous. Another unconvincing single goal win infront of by far our smallest crowd so far this season.

We've been poor of late, didn't look totally convincing either against Burton, though Hogan could have had 4 goals were it not for a post and another being perhaps wrongfully disallowed. I dread to think what would happen if he got injured for a long period of time. We've been so reliant on him since he came back from injury at the tail end of last season (pretty much the sole reason for any good patches of form we have).

I would go with the team below, I don't like the 5-4-1 we've been playing, but we are crying out for some decent wingers to come in to allow us to go back to 4-5-1.

Bentley
Colin - Egan - Dean - Bjelland - Barbet
Woods - Yennaris - McEachran
Sawyers
Hogan

I imagine this will be a win. Our home form is impressive and Brentford's away is as bad as ours.

Reid must play, too much long ball without him.

I don't know why I'm bothering. Got a stinking cold and without wanting to sound dramatic I feel like death.

Don't make me regret it City, please.

Stay at home mate, we'll lose and your season ticket will end up in the Avon.

Thanks to traffic and first bus it took me 2 and a half hours to get to AG tonight. And that's after walking it from what used to be Jury's.

FUCK. OFF.

Wish I left later. He's been the only player worth watching. Two defensive midfielders again, Fuck off Johnson!

A lot of debate on tonights team selection then. Abraham isolated up front again with a defensive midfield pairing and starts for two of our most out of form players (Smith and Fielding). If we start badly, the crowd are going to start getting on the players backs very quickly and things could get nasty. I really hope im wrong but ive got a horrible feeling this is gonna be a miserable night..

All very flat so far, the team and the fans. Brentford look far more likely and have a couple of good chances already.

Where on earth do you live for it to take 2 1/2 hours? I assume it's not in Bristol?

Very odd game so far, could easily be 3-3. Both defences haven't had a great evening so far. Freeman and Matthews have been good, Reid inaffective and pack and smith having poor games too.

We've got better as the games gone on. Don't know why Tammy tried to go round the keeper, looked easier to slot it past him.

I work in Yate!
Where to mate? Yate born and bred :D

Btw, that first half was awful. If they had a striker that could finish they'd be out of sight.

We created plenty of chances but could be here until Friday and not score. Struggling to see any pattern to our play when we went 1 down. We're in a bad run of form right now, that's for sure.

What a time to go through a shit run of form, we'll be 21st by the end of January and what fucker will want to join us then?

Even young players looking at it and seeing the lack of gametime that Moore, O'Dowda, Engvall, Brownhill etc will be put off.

Another shite season in store and fuck knows where we'll be next season without Tammy.

Surprise surprise!!

Happy clappers and doom merchants can both fuck off. In fact, so can football.

I thought we were very poor tonight but were building up a nice bit of pressure just as they scored.
As mentioned earlier though, we could still have been playing and not scored.
Extremely concerning performance.

6 points in two games makes everything look a lot better, could have been one place above the relegation zone if we'd lost both.

As I've said before, we'll pick up enough points not to be troubled too much, mainly as a lot of teams in this league are pretty bad, but we'll finish lower midtable, 16-17th or so

Just watched the highlights and not sure how it was only 1 nil. Abraham and Hogan could both have scored hattricks. Good win though.

Either team could have won that, we had 4 golden chances to score, people questioning Johnson on radio and at the game, what more is he supposed to do, run on the pitch and smack it in himself? Fielding was excellent stopping two great chances before having to go off, which lead a classless act from Brentford fans imo, chanting 'cheerio' to a player coming off injured as a bottom of the barrel move.

Bit surprised we took Pack off, thought he was playing well, would have taken Smith off, Freeman had a very good game and thought Hordur looked good minus one or two dodgy moments.
