Anyone taken the plunge yet? Looks much more complex this year, more improvements/features than the usual looking from afar.

Worth a go?

i just cant commit to sitting and ignoring the other half on an evening and dont have enough alone time to warrant it

i do miss it though :(

You always come back to it though, I hadn't played FM21 for 8 months, started playing again 2 weeks ago, can't keep me off it. But I'm an all or nothing kind of bloke and I've played it so much I'm getting bored of it. Starting to go off my save, won every honour for years in Ukraine then got the Man Utd job and I've got loads of money, as it's a rebuild job expectations aren't that high but it's Man Utd and I don't really like them.

I won't bother with FM22 as they did away with Touch on the PC and I like that version.

I'm just about ready for FM22, although I'm not 100% sure I'll get it. Getting less and less time to play it nowadays.

I've done my Lincoln save and currently in a career one where I chose the basket case clubs and build them back up over 3 or 4 seasons before picking another one up.

Not sure I've enjoyed FM21 as much as previous versions.

+1

That's literally me. I'll spunk 4 hours a day for 2 weeks then leave it for months. Tempted by an Ipswich save this year though, for obvious reasons.

I haven't played FM properly for a few years; I picked up 21 but I played less than five hours. I'm six games into my Bradford City career and I'm yet to win. Got to the stage where I'm being really off with everyone in press conferences and having pops at players at every opportunity :bg:

I'm still on my career FM21 game.

I was most recently with Eastleigh, took them over 24th and 9 points adrift in the NL with 10 games to go and ended up leaving them at the top end of L2 when a new Chairman decided to start buying and selling players for me.

Currently with MK. They were 8th in L1 when I joined after two thirds of the season, which is a very high placing for a team I usually take over but financially they were in the shit so it needed a clear out and re-build in the summer regardless of what division I would be in. Promoted via the PO's, struggled in the first half of the Championship season and stayed around 18th but then tweaked my tactics very slightly and ended up in 9th. Second season now, top after 15 games. Only conceded 6 goals as well, which has surprised me a little because the tactic I use has been more of a 3-2 kinda one than a 2-0 one.

Turned the finances around as well. Signed a LB on a free and sold him for £3m a year later, one or two others bits of good business. I'm definitely more of a loan and free signing kinda manager!

I'm using a 442 (FM21) with Man Utd to pretty devastating effect. It's a very English setup, I have Lukaku as a TM and Mason Greenwood as a complete forward. Vinicius Jr is unplayable as a winger attack with notable contributions from Jude Bellingham as an inverted winger on the right. Mez and BWM make up the centre mid pairing.

First time I've ever got a 442 to work in the game, don't expect loads of possession but I use an aggressive low block with the team keeping two compact lines of 4 in defence and the transitions on the counter are excellent. Granted I have a world class team but I think this system can work for anyone.

In almost every game I've scored and then the opposing team has scored straight from kick off. Not sure if buggy or if my tactics are just rubbish. Kinda annoying.
