Us, Derby and Sunderland are kicking off the new season, though everyone will be watching the latter and I suppose the pundits might have this down as an early relegation six-pointer. I say might; I honestly didn't even realise Mark Warburton had left Rangers until he popped up on my news feed the other day. I don't know much about Forest, other than that the spine of their side -- Murphy, Vaughan, Mancienne -- were all highly-rated ten years ago.
Millwall, on the other hand, have had a relatively successful window. Jed Wallace, George Saville, Jake Cooper, Conor McLaughlin, James Meredith and Ryan Tunnicliffe seem like the sort of signings I would be delighted with in any other season, but when you see Wolves splashing £15m for Portuguese internationals it's likely that if we are to succeed against the odds it will be more through spirit and organisation than quality.
Opening games always tend to put more pressure on the home side, especially if the home side is heavily expected to win, so I reckon we have a decent chance of nicking a result here.
Forest 1-1 Millwall
