What’s going on with all these meaningless tournaments ? Remember when local clubs used to play each other a week before the season started, now they’re jetting round the World, playing matches they don’t want for money they don’t need. At the first international break in September how many players will be conveniently injured ?..and does that mean “out of season friendlies” are more important than ‘International Qualifiers”. Hope all the Clubs make it back to their own Countries to start their domestic seasons, or maybe they’ll give it a miss !!

Branding and merchandising is quite important to big clubs (or big brands). I don't condone it of course but I can understand why they're doing it. They're also giving a chance to fans who live on the other side of the planet an opportunity to attend a game of their favourite side. People often seem to forget that it must be hard liking Western European football when you live in the Middle East. Getting up at ridiculous hours just to watch a football match must get tiring after a while.
I see you support your local team (fair play btw) but some people just aren't that lucky.
