Can't believe it's been so long. He was a great, tough kid. Well worth remembering/honouring.

But Joe was brave...

Former TFF member back in the day, had a bad condition (the name of it has slipped my mind) that sadly ended up costing him his life at a very young age. I know people say so and so was a lovely guy when they've passed, but Nik was genuinely a good laugh and an all round top guy.

Sadly, not the only TFF member to have passed away. Another guy called TigerBoy (Tom) was involved in a fatal boating accident a few years ago.

Both are missed.

I know about TigerBoy, he was a great bloke, such a shame. Never heard of Nik though.

RIP to them both.

Fell off his boat and drowned. Only 25, far too young.

The Warning Thread in the Cafe was named after Tigerboy as a mark of respect. RIP

I was thinking maybe the Darts Threat could be named after Tigerboy. I know he was a keen dart player, I had plans to meet up with him and give him a few legs as he was only 20 minutes up the road. :(

Tigerboy was far from a great poster -- in fact he had the capacity to be a real c*** to people on occasion -- but he was certainly a unique forum personality. The bottom line is that what happened to him was a tragedy and if anything it put a lot of the board nonsense into perspective. Tigerboy didn't die, Tom Hopkins, a living, breathing person, died.

Were you MerseyParadise on TFF or did you have another name?

I remember reading the thread about Tigerboy when the accident happened. I thought it was a wind up, much like the Lord of the Pies one. I didn't realise what actually happened.

Belated, but RIP young man.

I think Nik was one of the first I had interaction with on TFF. I remember him mostly for his love of glamour models and (to a lesser extent) baseball caps. Didn't know about Tom's passing, was sad to hear that.

Renamed the entire 'off topic' section...'Tigerboys Off-topic and Entertainment' - that way we fit them both in :)
