Let's get one thing straight, I don't like Wycombe. Den of cheating bastards, not that it will do them any good tonight as the glorious Gas put them to the sword. A 4-1 righteous thrashing and a miserable night for mowgli :bdick::box:etc.....

Dull draw. 1-1. 6 minutes added time, as usual.

As my fellow Wycombe fan said a dull 1-1 draw,6 minutes added on and 2 police horses get punched by home fans

3-1 Wycombe, but then lightening will hit one of the stand, the road, the pitch, a car outside or perhaps all of them. There will also be major flooding round the stadium/away terrace meaning our stadium safety steward will have to call the game off for safety of the away fans.

Great sense of humour and post. :2thumb: A dry night is forecast and warm for December as well. ;)

League 2 Stats
W2, D1, L6 - Rovers Home
W5, D3, L1 - Wycombe Away

Rovers have also managed to lose at home to Birmingham and Chesham in the cup meaning we've actually lost 8 of our 11 matches at the Mem!

Current form also favours Wycombe. The Chairboys are unbeaten in 5 while Rovers have lost 2 of their last 3; drawing the other.

We did beat Wycombe in the JPT but we were helped by 2 early goals and both teams made a number of changes so I don't think you can read much into that.

I'd actually be pretty happy with a draw, 2-2.

But we have right on our side and good always overcomes evil in the end. Sod all the sensible stuff like form and stats. We will send Ainsworth's squad of terrible oafs back to Bucks with their tails between their legs. 4-1 I have foreseen.

I give up predicting us at the moment, one minute we're shocking, one minute we're excellent, then we play excellent and don't win and then we play poorly and do win.

Seeing as it's home I'll go for a loss for us, but when we play to our capabilities we're a match for anyone.

Edit: and I don't have any animosity for Wycombe. Except for the their little drummer boy. Not the smartest tool but definitely a tool.

I can't believe we just won 3-0! Was not expecting that at all. If anything, this result drives me mad. We're consistently inconsistent.

Still, a midtable finish is something I'd be more than happy with this season.

:ds:Fucking get in, what a performance second half. Ingram kept it relatively respectable for Wycombe and Taylor was unplayable. Just got to keep that attacking spirit going now.

Aye, ridiculously inconsistent. I keep telling myself you'll be midtable, but then you spring up results like this? The odd thing about it is you'll probably go and lose on Saturday

If you can get a bit of momentum going and string a run of results together, there's no reason you couldn't be up there IMO.

Disappointing result, it's pretty rare that we take a pasting, but oh well, we move on.

That was enjoyable

Matty Taylor, what a player. Absolutely on fire at the moment.

Like I said, on our day we can go up against anyone at this level, I don't actually think Wycombe looked that bad but second half we were exceptional.

We're pretty much rubbish at home this season (unless we play Wycombe)

Great result, great performance, great hat-trick!

We didn't play all that differently to any other home game this season whilst at 0-0, but the crucial thing was we got the opening goal. We rarely lose when we go in front in a game.

Even first half but we were incredible in the second. The free kick for the first goal was exceptionally well-worked and brought about a great finish from Taylor, the second came from quick thinking from Stu Sinclair and the third was poor defending/goalkeeping that Matty capitalised on. If it wasn't for a terrific Ingram save, MT would have had his hat-trick inside 4 minutes!

I take great delight from beating Wycombe and to dispatch of them with such style is very pleasing. Such a shame we don't have a game on Saturday as I would fancy us massively after tonight.

that is terrible, put some meat on his "bones". FFS Ive got to have my dinner soon.

I've seen the original photo. You don't need to worry about the amount of meat on his bone.

3-0 but it could and maybe should have been 4 or 5!

Wycombe's MOTM was their keeper who made 3 or 4 fantastic saves to keep the score respectable. Not sure how he kept out Taylor's header or Mansell's rocket that was heading towards the top corner.

As others have said, the first goal was cricial. We edged a fairly even first half but we started very well after the break and once the first goal went in we took complete control and should have won by more.

Taylor is in superb form. A great all round striker, the best in league 2 in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't swap him.

Lets hope this result finally kick starts our home form because if we can do that the play off's are a real possibility.

taxi for Mowgli

Couldn't go in the end thank f*ck  My mate smashed his car into a wall on the way to work yesterday but thankfully he's okay but the car isn't. My stomach ulcers started playing up as well and i was curled up in bed in a foetal position in agony puking into a bucket.:ohm:
Reads a couple of reports on the game it seems we got what we deserved - zilch! Seems i was sent signs i shouldn't go  I don't mind losing but i hate it when we don't even put up a fight, still we're still only 2 points from the play offs which i'll celebrate after what happened to us 2 seasons ago when we somehow stayed up on the last day. at the expense of........

From an on the pitch perspective only, relegation was exactly the kick up the ass we needed to change the way the club went about transfers, contracts, players etc. It was painful at the time yes but it has made us stronger, in my opinion.

After seeing this, I can't help that the Wycombe keeper should have done better with Taylors 2nd. Still though, not that im complaining :)

He's doing very well so far. Lots of power and really drives us forward. His distribution is also very good.
