RefWatch; Ref for Exeter v Wombles game (played 7, W3, D1, L3) is Lee Swabey, 31, a sports centre manager & Argyle fan from Plymouth. Ooooh, a Plymouth fan reffing the Grecians, this should be fun. Looks like a skinny Johnny Hartson, with a lovely tattoo on his arm. Do Plymouth maternity delivery rooms double as tattoo parlours? Every Janner seems to be marked from birth. First season as a FL ref. Does it for 'the buzz' according to a remarkably shit Guardian interview. Big fan of the recently retired Andy D'Urso, which bodes well for Monday, doesn't it. Says he 'cried for 10 minutes' when he was promoted from the Conference, which seems to be the common reaction of fans who've seen him reffing. Highly regarded by 'the powers that be' (according to him - he's not the shy type) & earmarked for the Prem (hopefully the good old Northern Prem). Takes reffing seriously - has his own fitness trainer & sports psychologist. Reffed Wombles once, 1-1 draw at Huish Park in September (1Y) when he went off injured after 30 minutes. That must be one fucking brilliant fitness trainer then. Reffed Grecians once, 2-0 home win over Pompey in the Paint in September. Hates the scum. Never reffed them. Hates them. Home win % is 33%. In 16 games this season he has given 48 Y & 5 R - 16th highest card count out of the 59 refs in L2 so far this season. Our friend 'Whistling' Kettle is top - no surprise there, and Keith 'Over The' Hill (who reffed us so wonderfully yesterday against The Gas) is a solid number 2 (just like his reffing).

AnagramWatch; Lee Swabey, Plymouth = A Mouthy Belly Weeps.

We never vet anything down here and as we have not won a game since October I don't expect that to change. I would be happy with a point.

If the new improved Christmas Wimbledon turn up I fancy us to get a win. If the season long 'rollover have your belly tickled' Wimbledon turn up, I expect a comfortable Exeter victory.
I'm gonna go with a mixture of both and be happy with a point.

Would settle for a point away from home, a win would be a nice way to end the year, and a good way see off some of the (maybe) soon to be replaced players or Manager.

We must win...No excuses now if we have serious aspirations of challenging for play offs. Our next three are Wimbledon, D&R and York so that should be 9 points in my eyes but I expect we will fuck up somewhere.

Fancy Clinton to start today and maybe bag a goal. I'll go for a 2-1 win for City.

I think they've finally woken up and smelt the roses. Not before time.

Well that was an unexpected surprise to wake up to on my birthday (29th here in NZ). really thought a point was a big ask, maybe with January transfer window around the corner it has woken some players up.

Said we'd fuck it up.

We were awful and handed the points to Wimbledon, who were solid if unspectacular. They took their chances and we barely worked their 'keeper.

Season over for us now unless a relegation battle is on the cards.

This quote from someone on our forum sums it up:

"Wimbledon, despite being a dreadful side to watch - their entertainment value is less than zero - managed to win at a complete canter without having to break sweat."

Easiest game you will have all season.

Footballing superpower and world beaters, currently plying their trade in the lower division of the football league fail to beat alleged bunch of talentless cloggers from South London.

TWICE. :fl::fl:

Get over yourself. I do hope that those sour grapes are seedless, wouldn't want you to choke as well.

One of your supporters compared us to the Wimbledon of old. They guy he said it to thanked him for the compliment.

My wish for this season - as it is for every season - is to get at least a point from every team we play. I didn't expect to get 6 points from the first team we played twice.

Sour grapes? I said you won't have an easier game all season. We were/are shocking.

No sour grapes from me, just sheer disappointment that we can't win at home against a team that hasn't won since October. It's us, not you :cool1:

Wimbledon defended very well and we're organised, which meant we barely got a sniff second half. The sooner we get Brown, Noble, Harley and Wheeler back the better as we are way to weak without them.

I'd be pissed of if we didn't beat a team that hadn't won for two months.

I couldn't give a shit if Exeter thought we were good or rubbish. If we can figure out how to win games, I'll be happy.
