Biggest game of the season so far for both of us I think. We probably need to win to keep hopes of automatic promotion alive. If Newcastle win... then it's surely just a matter of time for them.

Game is a sell out, so it'll be the 3rd time this season that we've beaten our record league attendance at the stadium. Not a cheap one either at £30, and less than 2k Geordies.

We'll be fresh despite the midweek game (played the 2nd team), and having Hogg and Schindler fit means we're pretty much full strength, with only Kasey Palmer out, but I think Izzy Brown would be ahead of him at the moment anyway. Sounds like Newcastle are pretty strong too with the unexpected return of Gayle. I was a lot more confident for this game before they won at Brighton, best home record vs best away record I believe.

We'll need to be at our best, which we pretty much have been anyway for the last few weeks.
Another tight and very watchable game.

Brighton was our biggest game and having beaten them, and them currently being 2-0 down to Forest and looking likely to lose, we've a bit of breathing room, small as it is. Losing this wouldn't be the disaster it would have been had we lost to Brighton and they beat Forest. Huge game for yourselves though, and a real chance to close the gap. 2-2.

Looking forward to watching this as a neutral. Hope to see the ball played about quickly, back to front.

1-3

Goalie was a bit too keen to go up - still had 4 minutes left.

Still good win for Newcastle and that should see them going back up.

Today feels like the day that Newcastle took the biggest step to winning the league rather than being promoted.

Tough one to take, but Newcastle set up perfectly and despite 76% possession we never really created a clear cut chance. Definitely shown this week why they'll be champions. We can't afford to let the gap to 2nd get any bigger now to stand any chance. Still a bloody brilliant season whatever happens.
