We have not won away on the opening day since we won at Port Vale back in '98. Sold out away end, renewed optimism. Harry looking to start off with a win. Hopefully our winless run ends today.

I reckon it will, I really don't rate Ipswich with Mick McCarthy in charge.

Well, that was a really enjoyable and somewhat surprising watch via iFollow.

We kept it on the ground, always looked comfortable on the ball, and quickly regained possession whenever we lost it, admittedly against an absolutely woeful Birmingham. Would have been nice to see Sears convert on 75 to put some gloss on the result. Solid performance nevertheless.

A good 3 points at home to start the season considering all our absentees. Still need to sign a number 9.

Gutting for Andre Dozzell to be stretchered off on 44... hearing that it's a cruciate ligament injury, so unlucky as this was going to be his breakthrough season. The only positive (not for him) is that Flynn Downes came on for his senior debut to replace him and did well.
