I've just learned that our very own Saltire has a degree in Astrophysics and advanced maths. Does this make him the brainiest 1FFer, or do you have something better than that? Maybe you've watched who wants to be a millionaire once and answered all the questions. Or perhaps you can even understand at least quarter of the fucking questions on University Challenge, let alone answer them.

I got a 2:1 in Social Policy, so Salty leathers me.

Agreed. I think blade is doing something awesome not sure what it is though. I reckon his resemblance to Einstein also enhances the perception of him being boffinesque. He'll hopefully tell us what he's studying when he comes on. I do have one reservation about his intellect though.... he's from Yorkshire.

Yes Herts Wolf and the pineapple come across as highly intelligent beings.

My other half is a statistics PhD and thinks the expression is "don't shoot a gift horse in the mouth", so it's no surprise to me that Saltire can be so clever but such a fucking idiot at the same time.

Oooohhh. No wonder he's a bit of a space nerd ! Advanced maths too, so you'd think he'd be a rational and logical kinda guy.

But supports Liverpool :dk:

Applied maths isn't real maths, he's not that smart. :P1:

I think I'd pick Ian_Wrexham as the brainiest 1FF member.

Three questions to settle this.
a) Which queen became the longest serving British monarch this week?
b) "Two little boys" was a hit song by which convict?
c) Which popular Messiah spent a lot of time sailing and hanging around with the lads in Galilee 2,000 years ago?
d) Which CD did Leon Clarke say he would hide from team mates when he was interviewed by the Wolves matchday programme editor in April 2014?

Appreciate these are tough questions but I have carefully worded them to avoid people just Googling the answers.

Right.

Queen's park Rangers?
Lester Piggot?
Captain Birds eye?
Skrewdriver's greatest hits?

If Saltire is the most intelligent member of this forum then we truly, truly need to have a long hard think about packing it all in and killing ourselves.
We won't need to. He'll kill us all with with the massive space gun he's going to make (if my understanding of what astro physicists do is correct)

We'll be alright, his hatred of "yanks" would almost certainly force him to funnel all of his research into a weapon designed purely to wipe Americans off of the face of the planet.

Vauxhall employ astraphysicists. Is he one of them?

If I owned a Vauxhall dealer, I'd call all the mechanics astraphysicists and they could say like "I'll get one me astraphysicists to give your Adam a real probing, pet".

I know this is probably a 'that's the joke' moment, but it wasn't 3 it was 4 questions.

People are intelligent in different ways, aren't they? It doesn't surprise me that Saltire's posts in the politics and football sections make him seem a complete plank when in fact he's extremely gifted in maths and science.

I have a PhD in Politics but am average at maths and fucking terrible when it comes to anything remotely technical.

If we're taking most intelligent to mean most persuasive/interesting to read...it's got to be Scummers, hasn't it? Paranoid Pineapple, Veggie Legs, SUTSS and Ebeneezer Goode are all good too. Ian_Wrexham is obviously a bright bloke too, although part of me thinks he's going mental. Everyone is a fascist now, apparently.
