How bizarre, obviously realised it's an impossible task with what he's got and the board aren't backing him in January. Trying to save his reputation I suppose, if Rotherham appoint Commons they might as well start planning for League One now.

From what the local press have said it seems like Tony Stewart has already accepted they'll be relegated this season and Jackett obviously wasn't happy with that, im sure i've seen a line from Tony Stewart somewhere that said he didn't care if they lost the next 7 games he wouldn't have sacked him, not a great thing to be telling the press i'm sure that can't have gone down well with the fans.
