Keys doing multiple functions

Spilled some drink on my laptop earlier and it's doing multiple things when pressing buttons like the a key also posting the apostrophe at the same time, s also reducing the screen brightness.

So two questions, anyone know a potential cure, I tried cleaning up best I could with kitchen roll so leaving it to dry out atm incase it works in the morning by chance, secondly could I have just pressed a key on the laptop by accident which could be causing this instead?
