I was hoping we could have a rivalry with Morecambe, but the soft shites flew a banner over our stadium to welcome us to the Football League. Opportunity missed.

Only rivalry we've had in years is with bloody Fylde.

Maybe we can develop a rivalry with Bolton over the next decade or so if they can stay in business.

Mansfield and Chesterfield is a proper rivalry, I sorta miss it if I’m being honest. But I still enjoy the current circumstances.

Basically the PROPER rivalries are the ones ya dad wouldn’t let you go to as a kid, hence why I missed that Liam Lawerence goal all those years back, never quite got over missing that! :D
yeah - 2 of our 3 ex Chesterfield players Josh Kay and Brad Barry who both scored in our 4-2 win at yours earlier this season took great pleasure in the result on twitter and made Chesterfield's fan's nights. The Chesterfield fan's forum was actually a happy place that night too because of it....

Crawley v Wimbledon?
Not really. They pissed off lots of Crawley fans because when we were promoted from the conference with a record points score and record amount of goals scored etc etc all everyone spoke about was Wimbledon who came up via the play offs. Then they started to get all sanctimonious with us because they had done it "the right way" but we were not allowed to speak about Kingstonian and what happened to them but truth be told we've hardly played them to build any real rivalry up.

Dont know carl, know of him and i have his book its been in a box in my attick since moving to cumbria.
I'm not saying you've not been a rival of uniteds, I'm saying your not now and they dont see you as one. I know this because i know many united fans and they have 2 main rivals plus city..... this has been the case all my 49 years........
We all have and have had encounters that result in arrests and some prison terms and bans, doesnt mean your their rival. Anyway thats my final say, i may be wrong......

Very happy with that statement as you've already accepted the West Country will have mopped up the three auto places with :
FGR, Exeter & Cheltenham with perhaps Newport nicking place off Cheltenham or Exeter.

I think with just about reaching halfway into the season, you may see things change over the second half, its quite tight and some teams will falter and some will have good runs, long way to go yet.

Think you may get promoted play off at worst......Newport for me Champions
Exeter to tail off and maybe scrape the 7th spot.....too many games for them too thin squad
injuries will cost them automatic promotion

Take a bow Darrell Clarke. Admitted he put the wrong team out due to fan pressure to stop chopping and changing, put 4 on at half time and even I was bemused as two of those were our top goalscorers! But a 4-3 win proves all us fans wrong and shows why he is the manager and not us, full credit to him. Thought we weren't even that bad first half and were very unlucky to go into halftime not winning let alone losing 2-0 but it was the exact same story the other way around on Tuesday against Oldham, footballs a funny old game. We had a 35 year old coach at left back in the second half and somehow won the second half 4-1, insanity!

Just wish that game could have been in front of a crowd, would have been absolute limbs.

Hurst was unplayable for Vale, especially in their dominant 20 minute spell before half time. Two best players I have seen this season against us are him and Bahamboula at Oldham, both look a cut above. But asides from that said twenty minutes they looked weirdly poor, a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde performance on their behalf. Still think they might squeeze in the playoffs, they have more than enough about them.
Glad someone has mentioned Bahamboula.

When he arrived, the general response was memes of banana boats coming over from France as it was expected that he would be the first of the next set of foreign imports to enter the Club.

Now he’s proper match fit, the guy is an absolute baller. Our best player IMO, better than McAleney & McAlmont. I dont think I’ve seen a better player in this division this season.

We may finally of gotten lucky with one of Abdallah’s contacts.

Too many games? We have one cup game and have rearranged the game against you for that. Our squad is not thin , we have pretty much a second side that we played in our Pizza games and topped the table.
I never know whether you are trolling or genuinely stupid.

If we mean nothing to you why was your fan forum full of your foul mouthed knuckle draggers saying how much they hate us and how much they are looking forward to beating us last Saturday. Didn`t happen did it. Enjoy Dover, Borehamwood and Maidenhead on a Tuesday night.

I went to Maidenhead away. Stood in the pissing rain all game with one of the worst performances I’ve ever witnessed. Actually gives me shivers just thinking about it!

And our second shot is almost just as good. 2-0. Bit harsh on Grimsby is that in fairness.

Yeah seems like we started well but fell away, after 15 mins we’d already had 4 shots, by 45 mins we’d still had 4 shots.
Can’t see any way back unfortunately.

Lee Novak and Levi Sutton scoring, two former Scunny lads. Nice to see them realising what a shambles the weekend was.

Won't complain at winning 2-1, but it's a result that's ridiculously harsh on a battling, spirited Grimsby side. Morais still looks like he has it.

That’s a massive win, the two academy coaches have transformed us from the weekly disaster that McCall was churning out.
